Interestingly, some HOF QBs (Marino and Kelly) scored similarly to Tua.
Dan Marino does come off as a little dull witted.
Hey now... Vince Young scored the lowest wonderlic test score ever and look how well things turned out for him... Nothing worked out very well for the teams he played on, but he made tons of money.
And he will make more in two years than all those perfect SAT gender studies majors make in a lifetime at Starbucks. He needs to read defenses. He can read Shakespeare after he retires at 31
And Jim Kelly, bless his heart, was a notorious bar-brawler in the Buffalo area during his playing days.
(Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just not the hallmark of a Rhodes scholar....)

*******
Tua is damaged goods and thereby his durability is questionable. Consequently, he will be drafted behind the other Tier 1 qbs. He may have to play out his initial contract and prove himself before he gets the franchise qb big bucks....
“Iowa’s Nate Stanley scored the highest grade at 40”
Iowa had one of the worst scoring offenses in the NCAA. So take this Wonderlic test score with a grain of salt.
The test is used to measure general cognitive ability in three areas: math, vocabulary, and reasoning.
Terry Bradshaw’s Wunderlic score was only 16. I think he was smart enough to make it to the Hall of Fame and to win four Super Bowls.
All I can think of is the movie Pet Detective, and I am thinking that he wasn’t really acting...
Terry Bradshaw was one of the dumbest (per score) that ever played.
The problem with Tua is that health concerns are at the forefront.
He's going to have to demonstrate that his past injuries are, indeed, in the past.
I think he's a very capable QB, but I also think he's fragile.
The NFL bean counters are very wary of that.
The MVP Quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens had the same score. Not sure how effective the test is in measuring future success
I've heard Bradshaw speak at one of these touring "be all you can be" pep talk sales presentations. He either cheated to get to 16 or had his head bounced on the turf too much while playing. Guiliani spoke at the same show and I was extremely impressed by him.
Most people who get perfect SAT scores don’t major in Gender Studies. More football players major in “Studies” than perfect SAT scorers.
Jedrick Wills/T/Alabama got a 9
Jerry Jeudy/WR/Alabama got a 9
i sense a trend...
Herbert’s score was reported wrong and was actually a 39 which is second highest. Not surprising for a 4.0 student.
Hopefully the Lions can draft a new owner.......
