220 mg? That’s very high for a regular daily dose.

FYI, there’s better forms of zinc than zinc sulfate ... here’s a pretty decent article comparing the different forms ... any fully-reacted chelated form is better than any inorganic form ... naturally, the chelated forms are impossible to buy right now, but it’s food for thought when manufacturers catch up:

also, too much zinc is indeed toxic ... best not to take more than 40mg of elemental zinc:

I already have Nature’s Bounty supplements of D3, Magnesium, Calcium and Zinc. The Zinc portion (zinc sulfate) is 25 mg. Double that and you have the 50 mg of these pills.

Offering this not as a substitute but for those who can’t get these pills or would rather buy locally.

On Amazon now:

Alpha Chemicals Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate - 35.5% Zn - 99% Pure - 5 Pounds. $11.49 + shipping

That’s enough for about 10,000 220mg capsules.

Then, you need hydrochloroquine. Here’s what I’ve read:

HCQ is a zinc ionophore, essentially opening the door to your cells for the zinc to go in. The zinc ruins the machinery for virus replication. HQC itself doesn’t do the work.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4182877/

https://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3831654/posts

http://drdahlman.com/chloroquine-and-natural-solutions-for-coronavirus/

So what if you want to prep your medicine shelf with HQC or another zinc ionohore? If you have an accommodating Dr., get a prescripttion. If not, there are two otc supplements that are zinc ionophores:

Zinc Ionophore Activity of Quercetin and Epigallocatechin-gallate

https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jf5014633

“Quercetin is a flavonoid antioxidant that’s found in plant foods such as leafy greens, tomatoes, berries and broccoli. It has been studied and proven to have anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory and antiviral activity. It has been at the forefront for treatment of sinus problems.

Epigallocatechin-gallate (EGCG) is found in green tea. It is also an anti-oxidant.

This was a study to determine if quercetin and epigallocatechin-gallate can increase levels of intracellular zinc in mice with liver cancer.

The takeaways from the above paper:

Through fluorescence, quercetin and epigallocatechin-gallate were found to be ionophores and raised intracellular zinc levels. This is an animal study, not human.”

Yesterday, I ordered Quercetin from The Vitamin Shop (aka Super Supplements). I also drink green tea daily now, and take 3 zinc a week. I think I’m able to open the cell doors with Quercetin to let the Zincin to kill the bugger.

Taking that much zinc sulfate will likely make you puke for about 8 hours or so.

DO NOT EXCEED 100mg per day of Zinc Sulfate. 30mg (15 twice) is ideal.

ALSO DO NOT TAKE Zinc Sulfate without Copper. Neurological and other maladies can result. The correct proportion is 8:1 Zinc:Copper. A good balanced supplement is 365 brands' chelated Zinc w copper.
