Yep. If we’re going to go all socialist and start seizing stuff, let’s just seize the Red Chinese stuff and call it a day.

It’s a wording order. I’m sure they saw all three things as equally important.

Does anyone trust the FDA anymore? There are so many unsubstantiated claims in the article. Maybe that is not what they said and just the journalist interpretation.

There are still fomites and nothing wrong with ozone treatment (gas or water). I just use a large rubbermaid with a 50L/Hr generator. After this mess, I think I will continue to do the same. A large Sam's Club run is always a multi-hour task anyways.

The FDA discussing hoarding in the same article is rich. If people had not lost faith in government agencies, they would not impulsively hoard when both the CDC and FDA have been proven both incapable and incompetent in their duties.

Yep. Open up the snack. In the store. Where airflow is restricted. And somebody could have just coughed a few million COVID particles nearby.

I’m trying to keep it to once every twelve days. My work schedule makes a twelve-day run more convenient than a two-week one.

Why just fire Dr. Butt-head when you can go for Dr. Beavis, too?

Nice to see all those protestors observing sensible safety protocols. /SARC The Michigan mess on the Lansing statehouse lawn is precisely why I didn't go to the one happening in my state today.

Did Xi Jinping Deliberately Sicken The World?

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/did-xi-jinping-deliberately-sicken-world

Such a question is of course inimical to human decency. And yet we must consider that Xi Jinping has produced the greatest program of ethnic cleansing in the world today. He has curtailed freedoms in China severely and is the father of the panopticon state. His incessant military buildup threatens neighbors while using economic and other subversive means to erode the sovereignty of countries around the world. We should not assume it was beyond his imagining to withhold a degree of support from the international community to ensure that China would not suffer alone.

Strong evidence supports this idea. Hearing the World Health Organization (WHO) repeat and praise the Party line while giving short shrift to health advice until quite recently has alarmed many. Seeing Beijing sell defective wares and claim it as humanitarian aid has angered many more. Spreading disinformation during the crisis and hinting at using life-saving goods for leverage (original here) — while denying even the faintest hint of wrongdoing - I suspect have ruined China’s reputation for some time to come. In short, China’s good offices have been reserved almost entirely for burnishing its image at the world’s expense, while calling it “the greatest kindness and good deeds.”

None of this can prove whether or when Xi made a deliberate decision to withhold information in order to imperil others. However, as a long-time student and admirer of China, it is with great sadness I must concede that such a state — and its increasingly paranoid leader — might very well provide less than full cooperation to stem the pandemic of the century in the crass pursuit of its own interests. This may constitute biological warfare. But even if it doesn’t Xi should be brought to account for his other crimes against humanity.

I hear ha Chris, but problem is how do we keep it from developing into a nuclear conflagration? We can put economic pressure on China, and probably most of the world will, then when the faction in power realizes they’re doomed, will they take the world with them?

Dr. Campbell’s videos today discussing a certain number of people aren’t making antibodies for CV.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/17/who-issues-warning-on-coronavirus-testing-theres-no-evidence-antibody-tests-show-immunity.html - “The World Health Organization issued a warning Friday about coronavirus testing, saying there’s no evidence serological tests (antibody tests) can show whether a person has immunity or is no longer at risk of becoming reinfected... Earlier this week, WHO officials said not all people who recover from the coronavirus have the antibodies to fight a second infection, raising concern that patients may not develop immunity after surviving Covid-19... A preliminary study of patients in Shanghai found that some patients had “no detectable antibody response” while others had a very high response, Kerkhove said Monday. Whether the patients who had a strong antibody response were immune to a second infection is “a separate question,” she added.

There was a study in the Netherlands of 10,000 blood donors (who had and not had CV) and 3% shows antibodies.

He’s disappointed in the US. Too many flights. Not happy with the US opening up. Too many conflicts mucking up cooperation. Thinks cases will go up. I agree.

37% of 397 cases at Boston’s Pine Street homeless shelter are asymptomatic.

Stanford Univ. tested 3,330 random people for antibodies and found 50 to 85% had had CV than other figures. Still, too low for any herd immunity.

Dark skinned people need Vit D. He’s afraid people aren’t talking about it due to PC. PC kills people.

EU is looking for a R0 1.2 when opening the lockdown. That’ll bring on more infections and deaths than a R0 1. But $$$ over people, again.

My guess is that we are on that path, and I though the same thing about them taking out the rest of the world with them, and they might, if they haven’t already tried to do so with their bio-weapon.

But another poster here explained to me that once China starts to implode, factions within the country are going to start fighting each other for power, rather than the rest of the world.

I don’t know what’s going to happen, but we’re on a bad road. Things have changed. I don’t know if they will ever go back.

Endothelial cell infection and endotheliitis in COVID-19

Excerpt:

Endothelial dysfunction is a principal determinant of microvascular dysfunction by shifting the vascular equilibrium towards more vasoconstriction with subsequent organ ischaemia, inflammation with associated tissue oedema, and a procoagulant state.6 Our findings show the presence of viral elements within endothelial cells and an accumulation of inflammatory cells, with evidence of endothelial and inflammatory cell death. These findings suggest that SARS-CoV-2 infection facilitates the induction of endotheliitis in several organs as a direct consequence of viral involvement (as noted with presence of viral bodies) and of the host inflammatory response. In addition, induction of apoptosis and pyroptosis might have an important role in endothelial cell injury in patients with COVID-19. COVID-19- endotheliitis could explain the systemic impaired microcirculatory function in different vascular beds and their clinical sequelae in patients with COVID-19.

This could explain the sequelae of apparent hypoxic / ischemic insult, without positing any attack by viral proteins on heme...

Think he made a small mistake there. Dr. Campbell could not think of a reason blood donors would have higher infection rates. Well, how about the fact that they violate social distancing rules ? Obviously.
