I'm afraid of right now, life will never be normal again.

Sorry for the vanity, but I am concerned, I work in the hospitality industry, always have. There have always been highs and lows, but this is the low of lows.

With the government mandate of social distancing, I'm afraid that there will be no big gatherings, such as wedding receptions, proms, family reuions, company meetings, etc in the future.

Of course it will. Normal has a lot of momentum. It’ll be a bit, the economic recovery will take the longest. But in no time this will all be “remember when”.

In two months, we’ll forget it ever happened.

We got the Roaring Twenties, right after the 1918 Pandemic died down.

Yes, hospitality is at the center of this hurricane. And I’m afraid to say - it won’t return to normal for a long time after lock-downs are lifted.

People are social animals though - we will eventually demand social contact. All I can say to you is plan how this new era will look in your business, so you can be on top of new opportunities.

God bless you and stay positive.

The one thing we cant forget is who started this virus and how, and who in this country took huge advantage it to hurt America and President Trump. We need to get everything p, all manufacturing out of China, and get China out of the US and universities. And also remember the Democrats, Commiemedia and Hollywood were shrieking like banshees the whole time.

Don't worry...

Once the LGBTQWERTY community complains about social distancing and no groups larger than five, everything will bust wide open again.

This too will pass. Disasters of this sort have come and gone through all of recorded history. It may take a couple of years to bounce back but with the arrival of reliable treatments and/or a reasonably effective vaccine things will return to a semblance of normalcy. The economic damage could take longer but we will get through that as well.

Stay at home mandates or not, people are not going to gather as they once did.

Don't worry. There will always be a unending supply of Bridezillas. Business will come back. If any country can do it, it's the USA.

This assumes that we all submit to this behavior conditioning program.

I’m sure being in the hospitality industry, this is an unprecedented situation and I can understand your anguish. I know it doesn’t seem possible now, but it will get better. The human race has survived a lot, and it will survive this and you will too.

I can’t imagine a person better suited to navigate us out of this mess than Pres. Trump. It’s like a bit of divine intervention put him on the bridge at this moment in history. We’re going to be ok. You’re going to be ok.

You are right to be worried. In eight to eighteen months, testing, effective medical treatments, and vaccines will master the coronavirus pandemic. The economy will recover, incomes will rise and become more reliable, and the natural human desire for meetings, eating out, personal contact, and travel will reassert themselves. The economic effects on hospitality and tourism though will prove enduring because many such businesses will go bankrupt or downsize. Many consumers will hold back because of expended savings and retirement worries.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the government continuing to mandate this. That will end.

What we’ll have to see is what people do after this. People are going to be reluctant to go to movie theaters, restaurants, sporting events, parades, etc. likely for awhile. Your industry, will obviously take some hits, but you will hopefully be pleasantly surprised. Also, you and your industry may find some creative solutions to make people feel more comfortable and safe. Plus, hopefully once more definitive data become available it will decrease people’s fears.

This won’t be a “crisis” in 2021. Because Trump won’t be up for re-election, and they won’t bother weaponizing it again. It’ll be something else.
