I get a SS check every month...direct deposited to my checking account. I’ve read that people like us don’t have to do anything...just wait.
Looks like your check might be speeded up if you go to that IRS portal and enter bank info. It might take a while for IRS (who is paying the stimulus) to get the info from SS-Admin.

Just because SS has your direct deposit info doesn’t mean the IRS does. You will have to go to the IRS site and enter that information.

I too get SS every month deposited into my bank account here in Japan . I’ve read expats also get some money but can’t seem to find concrete info on whether or not I am actually eligible . I did read via the Jerusalem Post that Israelis with dual citizenship or with green cards living in Israel will get a check , though .

That is my understanding also. People who get SS but don’t have to pay taxes will get an extra deposit
Steve Manuchin said that SS people DO NOT have to fill out the form they changed it so form did NOT have to be filled out!!
Maybe they will get the info from SS, for another round of remittances.
