That is my understanding also. People who get SS but don’t have to pay taxes will get an extra deposit

Then I have to wait until 22nd of this month, because that is the day of direct SS deposit for me. I will hold off spending $1200 until then.

What I’m trying to find out is if US citizens living abroad who collect SS but don’t submit a tax return ( low income ) will get a little money and if there is something I must apply for in order to get it .
