I get SS deposit every month, but IRS portal has no bank information?

I logged on to this IRS portal this morning. https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment

After entering all my info it said you are eligible to receive the stimulus check, but we don't have your bank information! How is that possible when I get my social security via direct deposit to my bank account every month?

So I entered my bank information and then the portal said we will deposit the stimulus check to that account! (which is the same account as my SS deposit account).

Because the SS admin is not a part of the IRS.

I never get a tax refund, but I pay directly from my bank account during e-file.

I think you have to of had a direct deposit from the IRS. SS doesn’t seem to count. Typical .gov inefficiency.

If you used direct deposit for your IRS tax return, they use that account to deposit your Trump Bucks check. (I got mine yesterday.)

So...if you typically pay at tax time, you need to enter your bank info in the IRS portal, right???

I get a SS check every month...direct deposited to my checking account. I’ve read that people like us don’t have to do anything...just wait.

Same here. Paid taxes every working year of my life, served in Nam, paid small business taxes, but I do not exist for the IRSs check.

I entered my and my wife’s info into their system and it came back with nothing. Issued a Statement, that there is no status for either of us at this time.

Looks like your check might be speeded up if you go to that IRS portal and enter bank info. It might take a while for IRS (who is paying the stimulus) to get the info from SS-Admin.

I had to try 2nd time to get through. First try it bombed out with a error message. Be sure to enter your SS no. with dashes included.

Taxes I do not mind when it goes to the border wall, military. I do mind however when it goes to lazy fed workers, other countries , PBS and other useless crap
