1. All deaths are Corona deaths - NY just changed over 1000 deaths to Corona deaths, I assume so hospitals can get extra money. But the alternative reason is to justify tyrannical lockdowns.
2. State by state lockdown variations - I greatly respect that Trump is following the constitution and letting states set their own lockdown rules. Look for Dem states to have extended lockdowns and for them to be rigidly enforced - all in the name of “protecting the people”.
3. Cultural changes - I saw a healthy young family walking in the park with masks on. I can tell you that is not the norm in Texas and I hope it isn’t the norm.

The important thing to understand is that 556 - deaths in NYC yesterday from Covid19 - is bigger than 148. It’s what’s called a “higher” number. You can also say there are “more” people dying. Usually “more” people dying is considered a bad thing. But not on the flubro thread! Because

No one is dancing on graves. But if two million DID die, the USA’s population in December 2020 would be the same as it was in Dec 2019. People WILL die. Sorry about that. State level data - there are too many variables skewing city level. For example, are more people outside NYC coming into NYC for treatment. Also the death rate has gone up in NYC since 2014. There are likely higher death rates in the winter in NY in normal conditions.

But maybe I’m wrong. Perhaps I’m the one who is mistaken. So show me the data of another pandemic in the US that had a great death toll in 45 days for one area.
