I like Green Acres and The Beverly Hillbillies. Little trivia: Green Acres was the first network television show where the two leads sang the opening theme. I had always thought it was Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, but they closed their show with Happy Trails.

I remember Hill Street Blues theme was so popular it played on easy listening stations during the day. Written by Mike Post who also wrote the themes for the A-Team, Magnum P.I., Quantum Leap, and L.A. Law, among other shows.

"My favorite was always the old Bob Newhart Show, not so much because of the theme song but because of the scenes of him commuting thru downtown Chicago all the same places I passed day in and day out. Of course some of the scenes were out of order or out of place . . ." In a similar fashion was the opening of the Mary Tyler Moore Show set in Minneapolis. As an old fart I fondly remember the opening of the Lawrence Welk Show. Also the music to the Bob Newhart show set in Vermont was pleasing.
