Is this the new template for the socialists? They have found a very innovative way to stop the healthy and productive with this lockdown. Is there any history for having entire nations (or cities) quarantining healthy people and not just sick people?
The goal of the lockdown was to flatten the curve. It has been more than sufficiently flat that hospitals are not overrun. Therefore everything can get opened up.

My point exactly! There are no controlled experiments demonstrating the efficacy of social distancing and self isolation in stopping the spread of any respiratory disease. The only science in these methods is “expert opinion”. When COVID 19 recedes these medical propagandists (that is what Fauci and Birx are) will claim that their shutdowns saved the world without one scintilla of scientific evidence. Millions of morons will believe them.
The supreme irony is that our fear of the CCP virus has been used to implement the CCP’s authoritarian tactics.

Shows pretty clearly the US has flattened the curve and is about to hit a downturn in average new cases per day.
My own charting of the CDC numbers is a little more ragged, I'm using a different smoothing algorithm. I believe this chart uses a rolling 7 day window average. I'm using exponential smoothing with a smoothing factor between .3 and .45.

We’re not griping at Trump so much as at Fauci and the other asshats around him. Don’t mistake our criticism for lack of support for POTUS.
Even socialists need food on the table and basic living supplies. Eventually, they won't be able to get the basics, so I think they're content for now, watching the stock markets plummet. There's a grotesque thrill for them, seeing freedom and capitalism being disrupted.
The socialists with the long view here might be hoping for complete government control over the economy, and certainly to the end of Donald Trump as President, as a result of a prolonged shutdown. They see all the things Bernie has preached: green deals, basic income for everyone, government seizure of all profits, healthcare for all, including illegals. There won't be any "legals" or "non-legals" at that point--the country will be gone and overrun with anyone who thinks they can get a crumb of wealth from the American bounty.
