NINETY minutes of Rod STEWART???? What did we ever do to YOU???
I wonder how susceptible he is to COVD after that whole stomach pumping issue.
I love Mandolin Wind. His best
Rod Stewart... Unplugged... And seated...
Good enough.
First saw Rod Stewart when he was with the Jeff Beck Group in the late '60's. Then with the Faces I saw him probably four times. Best Concert ever was: "A Party with the Faces" at the Hollywood Palladium. It was their last show of the tour and it was a party.
Unfortunately, He lost the edge, and became too much Neil Diamond or Barry Manilowish.
Last great song of Rod's (IMHO) was his cover of Tom Wait's Downtown Train in '89.
But From the glimpses I saw of the show you posted, it looked like he is still a good entertainer.
Speaking of Rod Stewart....
This.... This is fascinating......

Looks like Rod was expecting a flood that night.
My brother told me the hottest chicks he ever saw in his life was at a Rod Stewart concert. FWIW....

If you’ve ever spent time in Paraguay, you’ll know Rod’s song, “Lost Paraguayos,” intimately. That song nailed it (so to speak).

Baldry, known as Long John because of his 6ft 7in stature, had formed a band known as Bluesology some years earlier. The line-up included Reg Dwight on keyboard and Elton Dean on saxophone. When Dwight later launched a solo career, he borrowed band members names and came up with Elton John.

Damn, just damn...
Turns out, Long John Baldry was a pole smoker like his friend Elton John.
I take Rod Stewart like Barry Manilow - one song at a time and with lots of others in between....anyone know what Maggie May looked like - she sounds interesting as Cecilia in the Simon-Garfunkle repertoire...
