Very underrated song. I checked my iTunes archives the other day and found that this was one of the Top 20 in terms of number of plays.

Awesome song. I like songs with the word mandolin in the title. Mandolin Rain is great, even though Bruce Hornsby is a radical nut.

Definitely one of his best songs from a great album. His earlier solo albums: The Rod Stewart Album and Gasoline Alley have some great songs as well.

Stewart is one of those rare guys that can cover someone else's song and make you forget the original version. Cash and Cocker have that same unique ability.

'Reason to Believe, 'Street fighting Man', Downtown Train, are three covers that come to mind as examples.
