Apple (?) fritters.
Now, why you go and done me like that? *chuckle* Back at the old homestead, I put in a 6’ Granny Smith sapling as skinny as a beanpole. Within ten years, the neighbor kids would come marching into our yard like Washington’s Army, toting a laundry basket, and climbing into the boughs to shake the apples out. My wife is a good canner, and would make Appple Pie In a Jar like nobody’s business. Here at Homestead v. 2.0, I have Anna, Fuji, and Honeycrisp trees in my little orchard. Once they finally quit sandbagging on me and start to fruit, there are going to be enough fritters to feed the county. I grew up in apple country up north, and there was always a basket of them on the dining room table as a snack.
Could be, in that photo.
However, it's a long standing running thing for Bob and Doug that they go to the donut shop for Crullers and coffee.
