TV Announcement by Gov Edwards and Attorney General Jeff Landry

Posted on 04/06/2020 2:03:03 PM PDT by topher

There is no news article by the Governor yet.

However, Governor John Bel Edwards (Democrat) and Attorney General of Louisiana Jeff Landry (Republican) announced through a breaking news conference that Louisiana is making the anti-malarial drug 'hydrocholoroquine' and the anti-biotic available to doctors to prescribe in Louisiana for people with COVID-19

Justification: Gov. Edwards stated that such action would free up HOSPITAL BEDS and VENTILATORS in Louisiana.

Pharmacies in Louisiana will have these drugs available through the Government of Louisiana distributing them.

"little" CNN and the 'AP' are very unhappy with this news.

At least in Louisiana, the grad of West Point grad (Gov Edwards) and Conservative Jeff Landry are working to save lives and putting PARTISAN politics aside for the good of Louisiana.

I will post article on this when it happens...

Anyone that uses it is part of the study. Not everyone wants to be bothered with the paperwork.

DON’T FORGET THE ZINC!

ZINC, ZINC, ZINC!

ZINC is the CURE, Hydrocholoroquine is the vehicle.

Article from KADN.com (FOX News and NBC News stations, Lafayette, LA):

Additional COVID-19 Medications Secured for Louisiana Patients

From the article:

Attorney General Landry announced that Teva Pharmaceuticals is making available 8,000 packs of azithromycin and 75,000 tablets of hydroxychloroquine sulfate. This in addition to the 400,000 tablets of hydroxychloroquine directly donated by Amneal Pharmaceuticals last week.

To treat patients infected with COVID-19, many medical professionals have coupled the use of hydroxychloroquine with the antibiotic azithromycin. As this medication combination has continued to show some promising results around the world, the supply of azithromycin (also known by brand name Zithromax) has begun shrinking. As a result, the ability of Louisiana patients to benefit from this possible treatment was jeopardized. This shortage highlights the importance of today’s announcement.

I guess Cuomo went, hat in hand, to plead with Trump for more of this “unproven, false hope” drug. NYC supposedly had a 1000 patient clinical study of it. Since we don’t hear the results publicized and Cuomo wants more, I assume the study was a success.

Zinc boosts the immune system. However, copper must be taken with zinc as zinc displaces copper (an essential mineral for the body).

Not mentioned as doctors should know how to instruct patients to take all three:

Zinc, Hydroxychloroquine, and Z-Pak anti-biotic.

Z-Pak is used to treat pneumonia (bacterial infection) that can occur with COVID-19.

Doctors must warn patients about zinc displacing copper...

LSU has a study of their own. It is based on patients in the 'charity' hospitals of Louisiana in:

Shrevesport, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans...

Any unused HCQ should be passed on to the next virus attack center.

Are they just now getting the meds in Louisiana today? Doctors have known about this for weeks.

No. I took nursing training that required nutrition courses.

Any good nutrition course will explain the relationship of copper, iron, and zinc.

My nutrition book states that 'zinc toxicity' will reduce copper levels in the body.

Copper is necessary for the body to use iron.

If you add zinc to your diet, make sure you are not taking too much. A doctor can help you with that.

I am sure there is a medical test and guidance for iron, zinc, and copper. Consult your physician.

If people take 'megadoses of things', there can be side effects.

Zinc can displace copper and cause copper deficiency if there is Zinc Toxicity...

The following is from the college textbook: Foundations and Clinical Applications of Nutrition

A Nursing Approach Third Edition ISBN 9-780434-02009

Pages 229-230

Copper

Function

Although the body requires minute amounts, coppers performs many functions. Some roles of copper include action as (1) a coenzyme involving antioxidant reactions and energy metabolism, (2) a component of wound healing, (3) constituent of nerve fiber productions, and (4) a required element for iron use.

Recommended Intake and sources

The RDA for copper is 900 mcg for adults. Good sources include organ metats (liver), seafood, green leafy vegetable, legumes, whole grains, dried fruits, and water, if it flows through copper pipes.

Deficiency

Copper deficiency causes bone demineralization and anemia; this form of anemia can also be causd by ZINC TOXICITY REDUCING body levels of copper.
