From commentary by Steven Mehl:
Hydroxychloroquine's mechanism of action appears to be how it acts as a strong zinc ionophore (i.e. pushing extra zinc into the intracellular space) and allowing that zinc to inhibit the enzyme that the virus is using to replicate. Two other zinc ionophores that are over the counter are Quercetin (flavonol) and EGCG (found in high concentrations in "matcha" green tea) and also available as a supplement.
Here is Dr. Zelenko's 'Zev' treatment regimen:
Patients treated with three drug regimen:
CONCLUSION - TREAT AS EARLY AND AS AGGRESSIVELY AS POSSIBLE IN THE OUTPATIENT SETTING
It would be interesting to know what % of Quinine the “concentrate” contains.

Your Minister of Health is a celebrity singer? Figures, that’s somewhat better than the World Health Org. being fronted by a criminal:

Hello Marvin!
Im happy to see you on these HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE + ZINC threads as I was getting to send this question to you regarding a comment on the original youtube of this thread. I copied below.
My question is if you agree w Steven Mehls interpretation of his pubmed link, that the supplements Quercetin and especially EGCG could be similar to Hydroxychloroquine as zinc ionophores? If so, do you think it might be wise to buy these just in case one gets the symptoms but cannot get Hydroxychloroquine until admitted to a hospital and would prefer not waiting to do something?
Thanks in advance and Happy Easter to you and yours.

Hydroxychloroquines mechanism of action appears to be how it acts as a strong zinc ionophore (i.e. pushing extra zinc into the intracellular space) and allowing that zinc to inhibit the enzyme that the virus is using to replicate. Two other zinc ionophores that are over the counter are Quercetin (flavonol) and EGCG (found in high concentrations in matcha green tea) and also available as a supplement. Check out this study showing how Quercetin increases intracellular zinc like chloroquine, but not nearly as much as EGCG. Take a look at the images of one hour and four hour exposure to zinc and these three compounds (i.e. chloroquine, EGCG and Quercetin).
Be very careful with any bark.
The alkaloids are dangerous.
Wow, great catch!
Thank you for putting this out! I came across Dr. Zelenko’s Protocol 2 weeks ago and began posting it as much as I could here on FR and on Facebook.i also checked with my sister who is a pharmacist. She said it would be a good off label drug.
I was amazed at the leftist screeds I received on Facebook. The lefties would rather people die than be cured!
But I kept at it and the effort was worth it, Hydroxichloriquine ,under the trade name Plaquenil, has been approved for physician use here where I live in Canada,
It was a battle to get the word out to Public Health and as many physicians as I could e-mail.
I think we have turned the corner and physicians are starting to heal with the drug.
I trusted Dr. Zelenko because the Hasidim Community has been innovative and courageous over history, making cures with whatever they had to hand for their people. I trusted that History. And God, Yaweh, also was in this mix.
When history about this pandemic is written, Zelenko and President Trump will be heros. The public health plutocrats who worked to with hold the drug? They will be vilified, and rightly so.

The recommended dosage is 800 mg, I am taking 200mg as a preventative, so I am being careful. I did not realize alkaloids are dangerous. I’ll research that.
Your story is heroic. I hear Canada near Toronto is so PC that reasonable people there can’t stand to live let alone breathe. Amazing Polly often comments how she’d like to move out and away from the effed up people there that run things.
Good news is the Zev treatment is going viral. Just this morning an MD from LA reported he was administering a Zev-like treatment regimen to his patients with great success.
So it’s only a matter of time before the medical community stands up in great numbers to demand enough is enough, let’s get the treatment to the population.
The key is whether these are actual ionophores (and they have been are to be) and how much must one ingest to be an effective ionophore without being too close to a dangerous dosing. A physician would be the one to consult if there is any doubt how much to ingest for effectiveness. Personally, I am relying on zinc picolinate now, since that formulation is proven to get into the cells without HCQ, the picolinic acid being itself an ionophore. I was introduced to that formulation of zinc by a fellow freeper, Gymnasticlesbianthesbian, thanks to her/him.
In conclusion, we have demonstrated that QCT, EGCG, and CQ rapidly increase intracellular labile zinc in Hepa 1-6 cells and that they function as ionophores for zinc in a liposomal system. Thus, natural flavonoids can be added to an arsenal of drugs that may be used to modulate zinc homeostasis and regulate zinc-dependent biological pathways.
Hmmm, thanks, I’ll stop taking my very small doze, thanks again.
Well, hes not a professional singer. He only took part in a talent show on TV.
