Since millions of us have been directed to stay home and shelter in place and avoid all needless, unnecessary travel, will our insurance payments and or premiums be adjusted down or waived during this crisis?
My driving has been reduced about 95 percent, not to mention not using/riding my motorcycle at all.
I suggest everyone call their insurance carriers and inquire about this. Maybe save some big money.
Yes, but your homeowner’s will go up, so it’s a wash.
No?
If you have a 2nd car you only use occasionally, you still have to have insurance on it.
But you're still rockin' them leathers, huh?
I wouldn’t count on that. However, if accidents and claims go way down, rates next year should follow.. It’s usually a lag, based on history.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha....
I think my sister mentioned that her car insurance had been put on hold for a month.
When the world ends two things will survive. Cock roaches and the insurance companies.
Does a chicken have lips?
Did it yesterday with State Farm.
some insurance companies already offer a reduced rate for low mileage users
so even if they don’t offer anything special for The Virus, you may wish to inquire
Silly question. If you buy a house and three cars and go out of country for two months guess what. You still owe money on the house and cars.
I pay insurance online through auto payments.
LOL... yeah the check’s in the mail.
If you park your car and don’t drive it..State Farms lets you pay a reduced rate. It’s around $100 a month?
Good advice.
Just don’t crash the car during this period!
Don’t think so. If they do they’ll only apply it to those with an on-board tracking app, IMO.
Suppose that during the 5% of the time you’re still driving your car you get in an accident...or it catches on fire sitting in your garage/driveway, or gets stolen/vandalized/damaged by wind...are you prepared to eat the loss?
Say what?
What if a tree falls on you car? What if it’s stolen?
Car insurance is for more than just accidents while driving.
I guess if one has nothing but liability, then no problem.
