Are you telling me that unemployment, plus $600 plus $2400 per household, on top of your emergency fund (you do have an emergency fund, right?) is not going to keep you solvent through May?

If you are making that much and you don’t have savings...shame on you. If you have THAT much debt, and not enough savings...shame on you.

The economy was fine three weeks ago. There is 0 reason to believe it won’t come back.

Your fear sounds personal. Ask your friends and family for help. I am sure there are even people here that would help.

Lol CDC - Recommendation Regarding the Use of Cloth Face Coverings, Especially in Areas of Significant Community-Based Transmission - April 3, 2020 Today, 06:22 PM Recommendation Regarding the Use of Cloth Face Coverings, Especially in Areas of Significant Community-Based Transmission CDC continues to study the spread and effects of the novel coronavirus across the United States. We now know from recent studies that a significant portion of individuals with coronavirus lack symptoms (“asymptomatic”) and that even those who eventually develop symptoms (“pre-symptomatic”) can transmit the virus to others before showing symptoms. This means that the virus can spread between people interacting in close proximity—for example, speaking, coughing, or sneezing—even if those people are not exhibiting symptoms. In light of this new evidence, CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant community-based transmission. It is critical to emphasize that maintaining 6-feet social distancing remains important to slowing the spread of the virus. CDC is additionally advising the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others. Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary public health measure. The cloth face coverings recommended are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators. Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance. This recommendation complements and does not replace the President’s Coronavirus Guidelines for America, 30 Days to Slow the Spreadexternal icon, which remains the cornerstone of our national effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus. CDC will make additional recommendations as the evidence regarding appropriate public health measures continues to develop. True.

Unless everyone was willing and able to self-isolate completely for however long it takes for the virus to be completely eradicated, that is going to happen.

We have to learn to live with it and manage it.

Recommendation Regarding the Use of Cloth Face Coverings, Especially in Areas of Significant Community-Based Transmission

CDC continues to study the spread and effects of the novel coronavirus across the United States. We now know from recent studies that a significant portion of individuals with coronavirus lack symptoms (“asymptomatic”) and that even those who eventually develop symptoms (“pre-symptomatic”) can transmit the virus to others before showing symptoms.

Are you drawing river water?

Chances are your well water is pretty deep. It would take an awful lot of virus seeping down into the ground to impact your water.

Think of the virus like a tick. Just waiting there, waving it’s little arms around begging for a ride. We probably don’t want this virus around livestock, since it came about zoologically to begin with. Stop them. Tell them the puppies can’t be petted and cuddled until they have their next shots.

or, how do you feel about having to shampoo all the dogs and every animal in the barn each time the dogs are petted...what do you want to risk, in the name of being ‘nice’? I don’t mean to sound harsh, but we don’t know yet if this ‘airborne’ virus can transfer back to livestock. We do know that dogs can carry it in their nose at least for a time, and dogs touch animals with..their nose. This virus sucks.

I’m fine, fortunately. But I’m just watching the economy get nuked all around me.

For example across the street from me an $80 million road was just opened. Plan is for 11,000 new homes there. Unfortunately, due to the Wu Flu Panic new home construction is halting. Nothing new going up. The folks building those homes will shortly be unemployed. Given the economic uncertainty there is no chance housing will recover any time soon here.

Yeah, fortunately I don’t think this is an ongoing thing, I see my neighbors maybe once a month. They were petting the pups through the fence. I will just use gloves to handle the dogs for a while. Sadly, I was encouraging them to pet the pups in January so they wouldn’t bark at them all the time.

If it happens again problem, I will say something. For now, I will just be super careful. Like I would the mail.
