Omg, that is too funny!
Because some people may not have the funds to do that. Think about it. Not everyone is going to react to COVID-19 like you.
Ive heard the argument that we should not shut the economy down because doing so will result in as many deaths as the virus by other means, although only one person has suggested what those other means are, and that was suicide because of depression. An unprovable assertion at the very least.
But they are not in the same category in the least.
Nobody chooses to fall victim to a virus.
People who commit suicide choose to do so.
Nor am I willing to sacrifice lives just so some else can profit financially from it.
Retirement has barely existed as a blip in human history, outside of the very wealthy. I have always assumed it will disappear within a few generations, and people will continue to work until they are no longer able. We live in an incredible time, where regular working class people can travel the world and live in relative luxury without having to work.
It may be hopeless to ‘fit’ a curve for the entire US. We’ll have several outbreaks with different times for their peaks.
Borrow?
No....
You can keep it.
And all you Generals are manning the Front Lines...
We don’t expect to live in luxury and travel the world. We’d never be able to do that on our income anyways.
Not doddering in to a job at 80yrs old would be good.
Yes if I can get that test for Coronavirus Antibody to see if I have been expose. If I have the Antibody I would go to the front lines.
I am sure I can offer some type of help, I will mop floors and take out trash if they need it. Anything to help the professional.
