Chinese researchers have warned of a new mutated version of coronavirus that could infect people for nearly two months.
Chinese military researchers found a middle-aged man who had the disease for 49 days, which is significantly longer than other durations of illness, according to reports.
He needed to be treated with a plasma transfusion from other COVID-19 sufferers who had recovered, it's claimed.
Previous research showed patients who survived the virus normally tested negative after 20 days on average, with the longest previous case at 37 days.
But despite the length of his illness the Chinese patient, who has not been named, had only relatively mild symptoms.
He had infected lesions to his lungs which disappeared shortly after he was taken to hospital.
Researchers said the patient's case might be 'chronic', which could suggest coronavirus has mutaed.

I hope it smartens us up in time. But I was referring to the ChiComs taking advantage of what if not purposely unleashed might possibly have been an inadvertent leak (though I personally lean against the likelihood of that).

What if the virus doesn’t clear, but goes dormant like Epstein Barr, Chickenpox, etc? When a carrier has an immune-compromising infection the virus can go active and attack the heart, lungs, etc. Fifty may be the new ninety.
I’d imagine China has its own version of “Florida Man”, perhaps millions........................................
More like they have their own versions of Rahm Emmanuel—not letting a crisis go to waste.
One interesting theory that apparently was making the rounds in Wuhan a couple of months ago was that someone from the cleaning staff had sold the expended research bats to the wet market.
That is very believable.....................and likely.................
