Flubros day 13! (Flubros/bras only)

It’s just the flu, bro.

Worldometer’s Coronavirus website is very useful - Italy‘s deaths appears to be on the decline. We aren’t that many days behind them - some experts say somewhere between 1-2 weeks behind.

What could we have done differently? State and local jurisdictions take their lead from the CDC. The CDC should have recommended the old and those with weakened immune system isolate themselves and let everyone else live their lives. The vulnerability of the old and already sick to Coronavirus was well known for many weeks. If the healthy live their lives normally then the healthy would develop immunity and the herd immunity (which protects the vulnerable) would kick in much faster. Sweden especially seems to be going this route. We will see how many more or fewer deaths they have compared to everywhere else.

This will, when we look at the death count in the end, be similar to a flu season.

Does no one even check to confirm the premise of this post? Come on people!!

Italy’s deaths per day have been increasing for days according to the the OPs own source.

3/29/20 - 756 Daily Deaths
3/30/20 - 812 Daily Deaths
3/31/20 - 837 Daily Deaths

And not a single reply pointing this out?! The is not a decline. There are a couple of outliers where the daily death count increase went nuts and settled back.

What is wrong with everyone. Call out the factually incorrect information.

My flaming liberal sister-in-law was here this morning. She is blaming this on us not taking the tests by WHO offered to us at the beginning of this. I wasn’t sure how to counter that argument...frustrating!

The incline of the curve is not getting steeper ... it has begun to round over toward a peak.

The WHO never offered us the tests.

But leadership at the CDC and FDA needs to be replaced.

Lets not forget the real reason we were slow to test is the FDA would only allow testing via an FDA approved testing kit. The approved FDA testing kit the CDC developed did not work!

Private labs and University labs had kits that did work but the FDA would not allow their use. Criminally stupid.

I understand we have a new head of the FDA so I’ll pass on pointing a finger at him. But he needs to start firing people over this failure to get testing going quickly.

“I will tell you a little secret. NY and NJ are filled with complete aholes.”

I’ll tell YOU a little secret: NY & NJ are FILLED. As in, they have cities where everyone is squeezed together! Sucks to be them, but that was their lifestyle choice!

Whatever the WHO had they didn’t have enough of it.

They declined for 3 days before that...so essentially they are at the top. Check the number of cases as that is definitely going down...maybe that is what I meant. You will surely agree that cases are dropping in Italy in a clear pattern and that is a leading indicator before deaths drop.

I usually spend 3 hours at Costco window shopping, checking out the clothes, etc. Yesterday I spent over $500 in 90 minutes, stocking up on my favorite things from there, like bacon, salsa, and salmon, the latter of which had a “1 to a customer” sign. My daughter got a bag for me too. I guess I’m not the only customer who likes Costco’s salmon. 😖
