I ignored stomach diarrhea problems on a Friday afternoon after eating sliced fresh mangoes from a food cart on the street.

Saturday I was in renal failure after being rushed to the hospital. Monday I had six feet of intestines removed. Recovery was months.

I now pay attention to a tummy bug. Your appetite and sense of taste and reaction to smells is the first line of your immune system telling you something is wrong.

Not all completely different. Both have the quinine active group. Both are anti-malarials.

I’m confused about what’s been deleted and what hasn’t been, but on a repost of this, I noted:

I over-reacted when challenged about the relation between HCQ and FQs. I thought I had misremembered my biochemistry classes. On fact-checking, it turns out that I was right, although I decided to include clearer language about the relation.

I dealt with IBS twice, what worked for me was peppermint oil supplement. It worked for me. I’m not a doctor. In fact my wife of 47 years says I’m a horses arse. I’m 68 years old. I work hard to keep my immune system up. Turmeric, vitamin C, Zinc, B complex, and a multi daily vitamin. Maybe it’ll work. Time will tell.

” And then gave me medicine for coronavirus. “

I don’t think so!

I’m not sure if that’s an issue or not.

” I think my track record on FR is pretty good.”

As far as I recall, YES. I’ve been in 90% of the time...the last 3 weeks. No issues at all and no issues with 12 family members. Thanks for posting. HEALTH/LIFE BUMP for FReepers. I’ve had the flu 2 or 3 times in my life where I felt like I was battling for my life. My wife said, “The flu is going to kill you one day” (because I was so sick). She’s prolly right. I do take precautions...exercise, vitamins, fresh air, good food. Good health to FReepers. Other stuff doesn’t matter that much.

Diarrhea + inadequate hand washing is an excellent way to transmit just about every bacteria and virus known to medicine.

Does this include diarrhea of the mouth? If so, Nancy Pelosi and Jim Acosta (CNN) are super spreaders. Stay away from them at all costs.

Probably shouldn't bring this up ,but it may be relevant to the spread of the disease in China:
THAT FART AEROSOL CAN KILL PEOPLE DAYS LATER.
I don't know if this still goes on,but when I was there in '97 they used to spit and Sh@t everywhere. Walking on the grass in a public park was no-no. S-mines everywhere.
Dodging a Dockyard oyster was a common event.
Maybe this helped exacerbate the spread, if it still goes on.

Of course my comment was just an attempt at some humor in all this turmoil. It was in no way directed to anyone experiencing any difficulties. Thank you for your civil reply. I am curious, you said you ate fresh mango from a food cart. Where did this happen and when?

I swear I had it March 16-18. Severe nausea, vomiting and GI tract issues combined with 100 degree fever. Couldn’t keep water down. I wanted to die to make it end. No breathing issues were involved.

Finally took some Zofran (anti emetic)I had on hand from when my son had bacterial gastritas. I had forgotten I had it in the medicine cabinet from foggy brain with the crap. I was weak for a few days afterwards. Feeling good now.

I was quoting kin who had the virus along with her husband. She said “Nausea and food just didn’t taste right”. She exhibited other flu like symptoms but this stuck out. Muscle/back ache, too.
