Meghan Markle and Prince Harry face having to ask President Trump for 'special help' if they want Secret Service protection for their new life in LA, as Canadians bid the couple and their security costs farewell.
Trump will have the final say over whether the couple can have diplomatic protection in the US, because Harry will no longer be classed as an 'international protected person' when he completes the final phase of Megxit next week, according to a royal source.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and ten-month-old baby Archie made a last minute dash across the border from Canada to the US this week to start their new life in LA.
Questions are now being asked about who will foot the bill for their new Hollywood lifestyles.

Maybe he just wanted to make his position clear because the papers are talking about this couple’s move.
You do not know that.....
You are just guessing it is fake even through President Trump responded to it.
I was stationed in England when I was in the Air Force, and have been back many times for various reasons. My Dad was there before going to D-day. I really love the English people and all the traditions that go with England.
But there are limits.
Keep your worthless fame-whores on your side of the pond and we'll keep ours. You don't want to start a shooting war with us! We have a near inexhaustible supply of Kardashians and Jenners, and we won't even get into our stockpile of worthless drug addled rappers.
Believe me, we have the ammo!
A trial balloon was floated in the British media.
Trump just punctured it.
Didn’t read past the headline.
Stupid question.
SS protection isn’t for “celebrities.” Celebs pay for their own bodyguards.
Why would Trump even need to address this?
So far, all the stories on this couple’s security have been speculation.
No, we shouldn’t have to foot the bill for their security, but so far there’s no real evidence that they asked for us to foot the bill.
I disagree with them on many issues, but they have a baby and I wish them well. They are wealthy, so they should be able to handle things on their own.
I didn’t mean to jump all over your thread. I just wanted to give my opinion because there are so many threads about this couple on this forum with lots of comments. I don’t get it.
Doesn’t Princess Yoko hate America?
Is LA America anymore?
I thought a few months ago they were in love with some dump in Africa and thinking of moving there. Why are they coming back here? They've got running water in Canada, don't they? What's wrong with them staying there?
If you want private security, pay for it, you elitist jerks!!
Evidently President Trump said NO. Now the gold-digger can hate him more than she already does. Ha!
Both are nothing to our Nation...let them pay their own bills...they have plenty of money...so use it...
Maybe Harry needs to re think his decisions of late. Maybe he needs a ‘wake up call’ what ever...
WE AMERICANS HAVE MUCH MORE PRESSING PROBLEMS THAN TWO SPOILED RICH KIDS...
GOOD! They are not “royalty” here. They can pay for their own security if they want it and not off the backs of the American taxpayer!!!
Thanks for the “Royal Salute”, Mr. President!
Harry still makes millions from his ‘lands’ as duke of something or other.
Trump seems to have gotten the impression the the royals would ask the U.S. to pay for their security from an article in the Daily Mail. The article, which is largely based on claims attributed to a royal source, says the couple will have to plead with the president for protection. In essence, Trumps tweet was a response to rumors that the couple would ask for his help, rather than an actual request.
Later on Sunday, the royal couple replied to those rumors saying, in a statement to Chris Ship, royal correspondent for British television network ITV, that privately funded security arrangements have been made and that Meghan and Harry have no plans to get assistance from the U.S.
Those two useless eaters deserve nothing!
Are you okay with men running things? LOL
making decisions on emotions is not the wisest way.. there should be reason and thought in progress.
not grouping ALL in my comments, some women dont let the basic self overrule common sense. but the ones i see rebelling against good sense, are in a quest for control. i know you know women who quietly control.. they want their way and get it. they are not trustworthy.. period.
men used to be the common sense denominator.. the level heads.. but they are fewer these days. women and the media have feminized many, and it is not becoming.
i have 4 sons and 4 daughters in law. i am experienced.. somewhat. in the work force, to be told to “get in touch with your feelings” tells you where the male mind is in some circles. weve lost the reasoning and common sense.
and a woman in the mix, making every decision, bossing... does not work.. she and her moods/feelings will make a man and a sensible woman.. leave.
now if you are one of them.. you will see a problem.
there are good and bad every where.. as a whole, a woman is harder to get along with.. in the work arena.
