Where was I wondering the “the national numbers were not high all over”?
I don’t remember wondering that, nor do I remember saying anything like that.
However, if I would stand corrected, please show me.
Just enough for a drug hit.
We’re just postponing it in California. That is a good thing in that more PPE and potential cures will be available. But it will only be less bad for the same number of victims.
“What do you suppose SF and LA have done, to contain/control, their homeless population?”
Being outside in the sunshine helps. Other than that, I’d just say luck. One “super spreading event” four to six weeks ago in SF or LA and it could be a whole different ballgame there today.
Ive wondered the same thing. Maybe being outside more (Vit D3) is protective? Or maybe with this particular virus, being poor and skinny is a lot better than being wealthy and fat!
We need to be taking a gram of Vitamin C in the morning and in the evening, and have plenty on hand to increase the amount if we get sick. Just got off the phone with my son in Puerto Rico where people are staying home. And the case and death rates are staying low. He had told me 2 years ago that the government was advising C for Zika and Chikunguna Viruses, and now they are advising it for Covid.
Maybe having poop on the streets was automatically creating social distancing. Lol.
And I wonder what all the big cities are doing about their druggie population, both dealers and addicts?
Do you think all those upright citizens are sheltering in place?
well, let me put my thinking cap on
Virus will stick to surfaces and each other from static charge. Poly is great for static charge - like a slip under a cotton dress, which got me thinking of...
Facing. The stiff stuff for plackets and cuffs. Maybe doubled if that’s breathable. I thought of facing because if you tear down a surgi mask, the middle layer is about as close to facing as you can get, just not as stiff.
Facing is fast drying, it will hold up to an alcohol disinfection bath or very hot soapy water soak, it’s flexible but stiff enough to stay in place inside the mask shell, it’s cheap, it won’t add bulk to the mask, it’s nonwoven so it can trap virus clumps, and it has an element of water repellence.
What do you think of facing instead of a third layer of cotton?
That makes sense—with the moderate climate there is less use of either AC or heat inside—that has to help.
He served as a teacher, basketball coach, and athletic director during his 20-year tenure at The Mary Louis all-girls private school in Jamaica. He was beloved by students.
This is one of the people the Flu BrosTM think should be out there working to support their retirement portfolios.
Maybe they have developed super-immunity, living and sleeping in $#!T.
SF was the first municipality in America to declare an emergency and start locking down.
Ahead of Seattle
Very sad.
BTW, Mary Louis is an exclusive Catholic girls’ academy.
If you take 2 grams of Vit. C a day, you’ll just pee away 1.5 grams a day.
That would be good news, indeed. Thanks for the link.

An additional 12 detainees have tested positive for the novel coronavirus at the Cook County Jail, bringing the total number of positive tests to 101 since the pandemic began.
According to the Cook County Sheriffs Department, a total of 203 detainees have been tested for COVID-19 in recent days. Of those tests, 101 have returned positive, while nine detainees have tested negative for the virus.
I remember CA being very cagey about the origins of their earlier cases. The conclusion at the time was they were illegals.
But I haven’t followed it since, so if you have more information, that’s fine.
We’ll see how it goes on the southern border. Mexico IS lying about their CCP-19 situation.
Convalescent plasma shows promising result for those who did not improve in spite of support on ventilators and antivirals.
