Lookner - rats are overtaking NOLA because they’ve had to emerge from wherever to find food because there are no tourists who normally leave food garbage around. Rats will swarm to the homeless population. City will need rat poison.

Italy is barely in the top 10 for Chinese tourists. Most destinations that are have escaped Italy’s fate. I’m not saying it wasn’t Chinese tourists and business people who infected Italy, but there is clearly something else going on. FWIW, the USA is the #9 top destination for Chinese tourists.

Sigh. The drive thru worker probably needs her job but, good golly, wear a mask, gloves and glasses or eye protection. Don’t leave the window open and chat with anyone. Barely open the window to pass the food and money through quickly. These restaurants need to put up a sign to electronically pay for meals if possible.
No one asked me but drive thru windows aren’t essential. Wallyworld should be told to shut down all aisles that aren’t food or pharmacy.
I just checked out one of the wilder conspiracy sites (probably best not to mention it here...) and they had folks from New York City saying there were no ambulances, the hospitals had nothing unusual going on, etc.

Just talked to the neighbor - back porch to back porch. We gave up because of all the party noise. Tourists are out in full force on the water. She’s not happy with the tourists anymore than we are with them coming here spreading the virus and buying up our only local grocery store, getting germs on gas pumps and everywhere, making the ER busy and getting the rental cleaners sick. So much for the lockdown.
Neighbor’s family is doing fine voluntarily taking off work and staying home. We each offered help if either needs anything but we’re all good.
It’s hard to have any sympathy for people that boarded a cruise in Rio on March 7th.
Really hard.
