LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - A 4-year-old girl who had been missing for two days was found safe with her dog Friday afternoon, Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones confirmed.
Jones said Evelyn “Vadie” Sides was reunited with her parents.
About 300 people volunteered to search for Vadie. She was found around 3:20 Friday afternoon east of Lee Road 65 in the general area where they had focused the search.
“No words are capable of describing everyone’s relief. We are just, ecstatic might be a good word. She is in good shape, she is responsive, she is talking, she’s alert. She is in good physical condition, and the best part is she is with her mama," Jones said.

A dog changed my kid’s life when he was little. Dogs rule. Thank God Vadie was found, Lucy too.

My first pup was when I was 6, lived in the country with no kids close by. So me and my dog did everything outdoors together. I think it’s a shame they don’t live as long as we do. I’m 68 now and miss them all. I got 2, one a rescue blue healer cross and a little girl that’s a kelpie and border collie cross. As a kid me and the dog wrestled, hunted, and played. You get lost keep your dog close.
If the dog is a herd dog don’t scold the kids. The dog don’t let no body mess with the kid. My border collies own the herd, nobody messes with their herd. :)

They put those on to keep them from licking/nibbling on stitches post op or to keep them from scratching around their face.
I wonder wherher she fended off a coyote or even another dog.
You want a really good dog? Get one! Breed or pedigree, don’t matter. I’ve had labs, hounds, Australian Shepard’s, healers, border collies, and just strays. A little respect and kindness and you’re gold. I’d like to live to be 200 years old so I can live with more dogs.

Her baby sitter (I guess thats what they meany by “caretaker” in the article) needs to l be fired and prevented from taking care of children again.
It’s a heart breaker when one goes. It is when a relative goes, but not having any of the relationships is worse. We live and die. Ain’t no one walking out of here. Wives, friends, family, neighbors are all with us in our memories. I feel blessed to have known the best people. Were they really? Hell I don’t know, but they were to me.
I was lost all day in the woods in Missouri once when I was a little kid . I wandered off with my aunt’s German Shepherd. It was a long haired Shepherd and I just held on to that beautiful fur , wandering through the woods and across small streams. They finally found us when we came out on a road in the late afternoon . I was still holding on to the dog . I have been a big fan of Shepherds ever since

The cone on Dogs is really a Satellite Dish so all Dogs can communicate with each other and watch Animal Planet for free.
And don’t bother to put the Cone of Canine on any Humans as only Dogs can hear anything received or transmitted. Humans will only feel heat on their ears.
DON’T try to reflect the Microwaves with Aluminum Foil on your ears or you’ll look like a Holiday Turkey that had the wingtips covered so they won’t burn, your head will have a nice golden brown and ears will look raw.
