LEE COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - A 4-year-old girl who had been missing for two days was found safe with her dog Friday afternoon, Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones confirmed.
Jones said Evelyn Vadie Sides was reunited with her parents.
About 300 people volunteered to search for Vadie. She was found around 3:20 Friday afternoon east of Lee Road 65 in the general area where they had focused the search.
No words are capable of describing everyones relief. We are just, ecstatic might be a good word. She is in good shape, she is responsive, she is talking, shes alert. She is in good physical condition, and the best part is she is with her mama," Jones said.

Thank God. Finally, a bit of good news!
Good news!
A happy post! Thanks
Wonder what happened to Lucy.
Didn’t know she was missing
I agree and thank God she had a 4-legged companion with her!
Lucy = good dog.
Sweetest little face! Thanks be to God she is safe. Give that good dog a fresh steak.
Dog works in mysterious ways.
That thing around his neck is used to focus sound waves to his ears so he can hear better. He would likely not need it if his ears weren’t so floppy, thus cutting off the sounds he would otherwise hear. Another miracle of modern technology.
All praise, honor, and glory to God.
Indeed
“...and the best part is she is with her mama,” Jones said.

Hard to tell if you are joking about the dog collar....but his right eye looks injured so the dog collar he is wearing is to protect his eye from being rubbed.....
Its called an Elizabethan collar.
