It was a dark day in Dallas, November '63
A day that will live on in infamy
President Kennedy was a-ridin' high
Good day to be livin' and a good day to die
Being led to the slaughter like a sacrificial lamb
He said, "Wait a minute, boys, you know who I am?"
"Of course we do, we know who you are!"
Then they blew off his head while he was still in the car
Shot down like a dog in broad daylight
Was a matter of timing and the timing was right...

Ok boomer.

I’m still living in the sixties,
Woulda coulda shoulda Kennedy hadn’t died
Life would be the utopia in my mind
And my life would’ve been validated for the caring I felt

I listened to it this morning. A lot of cliches and stream of consciousness but it did tie together and say, in my interpretation, that there are always forces against us and that we keep rising up anyways.

Plus, it’s Bob Dylan and I love Bob Dylan and he won’t be with us forever.

I cannot understand Dylan when he’s singing any of his oldies. These new ones.... I wonder if he’s intelligible.

Interesting this would be released at this point in time. Why now? Did PDJT not promise his friend JFK jr he would do what he could one day to get to the bottom of his father’s assassination? And just two days ago the Kennedy grandkids tweeted their rendition of Timber with lyrics that could be interpreted to mean someone is going to fall. I have no idea if there is any connection, I just find the Kennedy “resurgence” coincidental after all these years.
