Yesterday's thread here:
http://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3828581/posts?page=1
I said about a month ago.
This is a kobayashi-maru scenario for Trump.
If he doesn’t do enough, there will be families of the dead in umpteed campaign ads for as far as the eye can see this fall. (The cuomo campaign with this is just beginning in NY)
If he does just enough (or too much, we’ll never know), the dems will shriek ‘OMG, trump’s an idiot, he killed the economy for the common cold/flu!’. (many posters on this very board)
Comparing this (or anything else) to flu stats in this country is difficult. Flu stats are themselves a dumpster fire.
And why, when we had plenty of masks during previous flu seasons, were we not advised to wear them then?
Well the article said he was healthy so...
Many HIV positive people, on proper drug regimens, are healthy.
You wouldn’t know their status if you looked at them.
It just makes me wonder.
IMHO he was either HIV negative, or on one of those drug regimens.
I’m sure someone who knows is looking at that data.
I'm sure it was never believable to anyone who spent five seconds thinking about it. They could have stressed the need to direct masks to medical workers and first responders without lying to the public for weeks. This will be long remembered by millions of Americans.
CDC has been untrustworthy since they tried to pawn off 21yr old gang banger shooting deaths as ‘kids and guns’ data points.
It’s Andrew Cuomo again and Fox News must bring us everyone precious word of wisdom. (Mute)
I sent both my husband and sons company article after article about the nature of the virus and why they needed masks. The reply was always, The CDC recommends... and you cant convince them that the CDC is not omniscient on all thing virus-related.
I replied once, Is this the same CDC that dropped the ball on testing putting us 2 weeks behind the rest of the world?
Youre right, I for sure will never forget.
That’s what I’m talking about. I know this is outbreak is unprecedented, but it seems to me that some are intentionally hindering our efforts to control it. Some of this even seems to have been planned in advance (like the mask fiasco). It all cries out to be investigated - if we have such a luxury after this is over.

There’s a whole ‘nother thread on this board that says this is not even as bad as the flu. Fauci said so! (over a month ago)
Why would the CDC ask us to wear masks for WooWoo when we aren’t asked to wear masks during flu season...
I’ve even seen some posters imply the whole virus is a hoax. Or just another common cold.
Would the CDC ask us to wear a mask for a hoax?
Are we advised to wear masks for the common cold?
If the flu is so deadly, surely we’d have been asked to wear them during flu season since vaccine effectiveness is so dodgy year to year...?
