"A good turn"? The guy was coughing up blood----I bet the "good turn" is from the malaria drug.
The virus that put John Bessler in the hospital — the virus that left him coughing up blood after days of fever in his apartment, alone — was at first mistaken for the common cold.
What else, after all, could it have been?
“I didn’t think he had it at the beginning,” Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Bessler’s wife, tells PEOPLE. “I mean, he was quarantining himself. But based on what he told me, I was far away, but I didn’t really think it.”
The “it” she is referring to is a new coronavirus which first emerged in China in late 2019. It causes the respiratory disease COVID-19 and is highly contagious, spread by coughs and sneezes from an infected person or after having contact with a surface they have touched.
In three months, the virus has spread around the world. As of Thursday, there were approximately 521,000 confirmed cases in more than 150 countries, with about 75,000 cases in the U.S.

That was fast. Must have taken the drug combination that Trump is encouraging.
Hallelujah! One more recovered case. That number continues to grow by leaps and bounds. It will soon overtake the number of active cases.
Reuters reported that scientists at the University of Minnesota are testing two drugs, the malaria treatment drug hydroxychloroquine and the blood pressure drug losartan, to see whether either drug is effective in blocking the virus’s reproductive processes.
People like to joke about it, maybe too much, but COVID-19 is some seriously nasty stuff if your body can’t fight it off.

Being the liberal she is, there is no mention that the ‘good turn’ taken by her husband was likely due to the ‘game changer’ Chloroquine.
Looks like Tom Hanks and the missus are doing fine as well.
A doctor friend on Long Island told me yesterday that quite a few covid patients had recovered and been discharged but that they werent sending daily records to DoH like they did for admissions and deaths.
I’m glad to see prayers being answered. Hope he is well.

Is this virus air borne or not?
The Leticia AG of NYS says it is not and that air purifiers don't work. I thought that if one sneezes it makes the virus airborn. How else would it land on surfaces unless it creeps and crawls.
As to klobuchar's husband, do we really know if he had the virus? Glad he recovered and all that but I feel that any symptom that resembles a cold is now classified as a flu and other illness is ignored.

Funny how the news of famous people becoming infected with coronavirus is splashed across all the newspapers and cable TV news shows but when they recover, you have to hear about it in People.
The old gag: “Poor woman! Her husband took a turn for the nurse.”
