Freedom is coming on Easter boyz!
Not to be a Debbie Doom or anything, but accounting?
How much of these emergency preps (or funding for) will simply be hoarded/ pocketed/ diverted to the black market by fraudsters?
I don’t know if this a good idea. The virus lagged in its appearance in many sections of the country and has not yet peaked in those locations.
I have a screen grab of Dr. Birx during the daily press conference saying urban areas are the hot spots and I live about 30 miles away from Chicago.
I think that's right due to density of population in big cities so what do the new guidelines mean for areas that have low to no infection rates?
What works in a big city like Chicago (lock it down) isn't going to work in rural Montana, for example and frankly - nor should it. Less densely populated areas should able to conduct their daily business as normal and simply monitored for new outbreaks if any. That makes sense to me.
I like the county rating idea.
Two more weeks and bankruptcy is coming.
So sorry about your bankruptcy.
Huge diff between testing positive and actually being sick enough to go to the hospital.
The jingo media won’t tell you that........
I predicted that March 30th (next Monday) was the day we would see widespread defiance of any stupid lockdown orders across most of America anyway. Major urban centers are one thing, but there was no damn good reason for the governors of Pennsylvania and Ohio (just to give two examples) to shut down their states and drive almost 600,000 of their constituents to the unemployment rolls in one week over a COVID-19 outbreak that had claimed no more than 30 lives in those states up until yesterday.
Good luck getting those workers who were just given months and months of 100% salary for not working—back to work.
Hint : open everything back up dammit!
We won
No more Pence waving that 15 Days to Avoid Death folder at every briefing...
Did the checks already go out?
It's like blaming the Fire Department for an arsonist setting fire to one's home.
But you know what it says...So from a crisis communications point of view: mission accomplished.
I always hated handouts as well.
Michigan’s county numbers are extremely different from county to county: our county borders Wayne county and we have 21 cases which I suspect are in areas bordering Wayne Co. Wayne County ALONE has about 1400 cases, almost half of the total for the whole state. Macomb and Oakland counties are high, too. Some counties still have none.
How will they they keep those counties with so many cases under control and away from us without a statewide shutdown?

It’s not fair. If big city folks have to be miserable. Then everybody must be miserable. That’s the only criteria that makes sense. See how easy, Komrade, that was to swat down.
It’s a great idea. Need to release Americans.
It has totally peaked in its lethality. It is killing at far, far lower rates than the flu. Time to put Americans back to work and DemoKKKrats out of bidness.
SanFranNan still holding them hostage in the House. Maybe a vote tomorrow.
