You should have met me when I was a Neurosurgery Resident. I was insufferable. I am a husk of my former self.
“I think we are at the end of the beginning.
Soon well enter the beginning of the end.
Just ask Geezer, hell tell ya.”
It will all work out in the end.
If it hasn’t worked out, it’s not the end.
In the meantime, it’s a mean time.
The first two positive Michigan cases were confirmed on March 10.
Sixteen days to 2,856 cases.
Nothing to see here, turned the corner... :-(
Well unfortunately many of those sailors are sick right now and wont know it for a day or two.
What I think will happen is that several blue states will be hotspots.
Just like with preventing forest fires, it's gonna take some dextrous handling to keep them from flaring up or from infecting other places. Remember, 2 months ago, there were only 600 cases in the entire world.
LA
The Louisiana Department of Health has updated its website to reflect the latest number of positives and will continue to update its website at noon each day.
As of noon on March 26, the Department reported 510 additional cases since yesterday, bringing the total to 2,305 positive cases. Important to note are the increases in Caddo Parish (additional 22 cases, bringing the total to 115) and Bossier Parish (additional 25 cases, bringing the total to 32), which the Department and Governors Office are monitoring closely.
To further combat the spread of COVID-19 in Louisiana, Governor John Bel Edwards issued a Stay at Home Order on March 22, directing all Louisiana residents to shelter at home and limit movements outside of their homes beyond essential needs.
Click here for the governor’s official order.
Hospitalization
Yesterday, 491 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized. Of those, 163 patients required ventilation. Today, 676 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized. Of those, 239 require ventilation. If Louisianas growth continues this way and the State is unable to flatten the curve, the New Orleans area could run out of vents by the first week of April.
Nursing homes
The Department of Health has identified COVID-19 clusters in six nursing homes in the state. The five the Department can identify are Chateau DVille, Chateau De Notre Dame, Lambeth House, St. James Place and Vista Shores. A cluster is identified as two or more cases that appear to be connected. With the involvement of hospitals and multiple providers and the growth in cases of nursing home residents, going forward the Department will require a lag time in its reporting on specific clusters. The Department aims to be a source of reliable information and needs to be able to allow its epidemiological team time to do its job in notifying providers and patients. Going forward, the Department will report the current number of clusters every day at noon, but will only share names of facilities once the proper notifications have taken place. The Department continues to work with nursing homes to minimize the spread of the illness and protect residents and staff.
Deaths
The Department reports an additional 18 deaths since yesterday, bringing the total of 83 deaths. Below is a table of all reported deaths to date.

One of those “blue state hotspots”.
Oops.
We have tested half a million people AND only 76,000 have tested positive GIVE ME A DAMN BREAK!!!
Math is really hard. This is why we have doctors and why we have epidemiologists, lol
Fortunately the virus has stopped dead in its tracks and there will no new cases after today!
or, maybe not....
a name you might not know but a face you might recognize
pneumonia probably got him
“Yep. Lives do not matter to the flu bros, only the stock market. To heck with how many die as long as my portfolio Is intact./s”
I’m pretty sure I’ve never been accused of being a flubro.
But I can observe that we are witnessing an ESSENTIAL event in human sociology, one likely to have occurred thousands of times in human history.
When coming upon rich hunting grounds...the tribe started getting sick and dying in large numbers. The sick and their care takers want to lay low and “pull through” with as little suffering and loss of life possible.
The strong and the healthy and the property interests insist on moving out of the “valley of death”.
While that cohort is patient, they also exhibit great frustration at their empathic brethren, wondering why the survival of the tribe and traditions is not foremost in the minds of the care takers.
Eventually, they move on and leave the sick and the caretakers.
that’s just the way things are going to be. and it’s why all of us are even here today.
You are exactly right. Urban centers are going to have a rough patch over the next week.

As the cases go up SO WILL the negative tests this has become the biggest HOAX on the American people!!!
ND

As I noted in my post...
This was Chinese Bio-Warfare against the USA...and aided/abetted by the Marxist Media.
A proper FluBro is not convinced by words, he knows people lie. He is not convinced by numbers, he knows those can be made up and used out of context. He is not convinced by pictures and videos, those can be faked.
````
When they stick the ventilator tube in his mouth, he will have second thoughts but, mind you, even that could be a hallucination brought on by excessive isolation.
