Even though I'm a Bama fan I was really impressed with Cam, the Camback game was amazing. But with the superbowl stepback I lost all use for him. I believe if that happened to Brady he would have dove head first for the ball.

As the saying goes, sometimes you have to take one for the team. Cam did not.

Cam Newton had a great run at Carolina but of late he’d taken to dressing like a pimp for bizarre interviews and he just couldn’t play all that well anymore. Just took too many hits to the head, I’m thinking. Time for a change. His era was a good one but time to move on.

Yep - and Cam was "woke" when the Broncos' defense showed him that being a well-dressed, egotistical fop doesn't make greatness.

That said, I also think it's time for both Brady and Brees to retire with grace...they have their places in the Hall of Fame (and personal wealth) secured and are not the specimens they once were.
