Placido Domingo and his family are isolating in self-quarantine after the opera singer tested positive for Coronavirus.
On Sunday (March 22), Domingo shared that he had suffered from a fever and coughing -- two symptoms of COVID-19 -- before he receiving his test results. He encouraged his followers to keep their distance, wash their hands and observe best practices set by healthcare professionals before ending his note with a word of solidarity and encouragement.
"Together we can fight this virus and stop the current worldwide crisis, so we can hopefully return to our normal daily lives very soon," he writes. "Please follow your local governments guidelines and regulations for staying safe and protecting not just yourselves but our entire community."

MAESTRO: Ohh, what a sweet gesture. An autographed poster of my favorite tenor, with.. those two other guys. Oh, Elaine, this is magnifico!
Domingo was much better at conveying the drama of what he was singing and acting than Pavarotti, and his range of parts has been much more extraordinary. Pavarotti could beat him in some specific arias and with high notes, but in complete operas or in more dramatic numbers I think Domingo was clearly the better performer. (I totally agree on Björling and the Great Caruso. Carlo Bergonzi, Nicolai Gedda, and a young Giuseppe di Stefano were other greats as far as I’m concerned.)
CovFeFe. Follow the white rabbit.
You must have missed the World’s Greatest Living Human part of the post.
Absolutely correct!! Totally and completely.
The other guy is not still performing and travelling the world the way the Greatest Living Human is.
Well, at 79 I guess that wouldn’t be so bad.
