Placido Domingo and his family are isolating in self-quarantine after the opera singer tested positive for Coronavirus.
On Sunday (March 22), Domingo shared that he had suffered from a fever and coughing -- two symptoms of COVID-19 -- before he receiving his test results. He encouraged his followers to keep their distance, wash their hands and observe best practices set by healthcare professionals before ending his note with a word of solidarity and encouragement.
"Together we can fight this virus and stop the current worldwide crisis, so we can hopefully return to our normal daily lives very soon," he writes. "Please follow your local governments guidelines and regulations for staying safe and protecting not just yourselves but our entire community."

Yep.
One way to get your name out there, take the coronavirus test.
I don’t know about that. When I racked my toe on a lip in the concrete slab I let out a pretty good scream.
Wishing him speedy recovery.
Interesting. Pavarotti said singing opera was controlled screaming
“#MeToo”
Bad hygiene.
He is 79 years old.
Does he live in The U.S., Spain or somewhere else?
I loved Jussi Bjorling’s voice. So pure and sweet.
“Do. Not. Understand. This.
Is this the hot new publicity grab?”
Perhaps it’s like a wrap signer getting shot (ideally killed, for best results) to drive up record sales.
“The Lefties at Opera-l (a closed discussion list) hate him.”
Yes, I’m in that group. They are nut cases politically. Holier than you name it. Pavarotti was lucky to have died before “me too.”
Awesome!
I second your statement. Jussi Bjorling’s voice was like liquid gold, and even with the poor quality of Caruso’s recordings, one can hear the greatness of his mastery and voice quality. That said, Domingo is excellent as was Pavarotti. While many fawned over Pavarotti, I’ve always thought that Domingo was the better master.
His main home is Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. But he has others.
Lung damage to an operatic tenor could be career-ending.
Make that two of us. This wide-eyed idol worship sickens me. However, I don't think Placido Domingo fits the profile of the typical brainless "celeb"utard.
SO WHAT?! Why are we publishing all of this celebrity infection news? Why are they any more important than any other human being? This is just nothing.
I wonder if “the other guy” is in danger of catching it?
He has homes in Spain, the U.S., and Mexico, although he is officially a citizen of Spain. (He’s been an open supporter of the right-of-center People’s Party in Spain.) His kids are U.S. citizens though, and he performs around the world.
