Pop quiz: How many cases will it take to overload Dougherty County’s ICU beds?
—
Answer: The average hospital ICU is 80% full on average. That means 10 beds are available for CV patients.
While 15% of folks with the disease are normally hospitalized, only about a third of them end up in the ICU.
10 beds/.05 = 200 positives to overload the ICU ward.
No, people currently will be discharged from ICU if possible. ICU beds are not long tern usually.
only a certain percentage of the population with CV will require Icu bed.
I know the Sun
Will come out
Tomorrow,,,
lidtards will too.
This model says three day stay in ICU per patient:

The problem is (and Italy found this out the hard way) that as soon as you release a patient from the ICU another one is lined up to take their place...
Up to 20% risking death with this thing, not all dying. Fortunately, troll, actual death seems to me that it will be much lower in official resolved cases in the US. Italy, not so much. They seem to have a more virulent strain making the rounds.
I went to the post office today. People were trying to spread out but it just wasnt enough space. The guy behind me kept getting too close even though he could clearly see I had a big gap in front me.
So I started the coughing technique
Yep, it worked
That said, I probably got Wuhan today. That clerk looked sick as a dog. wuhan is probably all over my package. But I will be optimistic in that they are union and so if she was really sick she could have taken off work
I’ll say. No more new running shoes, dress shirts, bedsheets, blankets or towels until this is over. Just some food and drugs. In and out quick as possible.
COVID also infiltrated the campus where I work - not my building, yet. So I’ll be teleworking from home, soon. No more commute. Yaaaaaay!
Stay careful - you of all know that - but Im going to remember your coughing technique!!!
Lookner retweet:
At least four nurses and doctors working on coronavirus in NYC told me that Friday was the first day they really felt overwhelmed with patients, many of whom were otherwise healthy and under 40 yrs old.

Anyone try it yet?
