What are families doing and what are plans during this odd time.
I am in house and keeping busy. Summer in the south.. already.
I’m retired, so it’s not too different for me. I’m very thankful that I’m “allowed” to drive to regional open spaces and hike (I would do that anyway even it it wasn’t “allowed.”) I’m reading a lot, and helping my wife any way I can who is still working - part time at her company and part time at home. And I read FR as usual, but I recently decided to only read the CV threads that are positive, like this one or ones about cures, etc. I’ll pass on the others, which seem to be dominated by the same dozen or so people who for some reason enjoy posting negative articles or comments day in and day out. I don’t really understand why they do that. Oh well. Most freepers are great, like you guys.
Yes I had one med appt cancelled and one kept. I expect to have another cancelled on 2 April. No worries. Elective surgery.
I am stocked up. Except for cat food. I will get that tomorrow.
Please remember to think of your pets. I forgot. Not enough for two weeks.
Being retired is a blessing. It made it easier to get it under control. Thankfully I don’t have to schedule my life around it anymore. Back in 2010 I ended up with a perforated bowel caused by diverticulitis. I had followed my doctor’s directions to the “T” as to his recommended diet, but it happened anyway. They had to give me a temporary colostomy, which they reversed 3 months later. I’m due for a colonoscopy sometime this year. I’m also due for a gastroscopy, and fortunately, my gastroenterologist will do them both at the same time. Makes like a bit easier.
Think aerosolized poison ivy.
I’d say all of April and probably much of May.

We were kids, needed fuel fo the fire at the pond..Woops
They have had this service for a long time but never had to use it. People needed it more than I did. Thankful they do.
I guess its worse than poison ivy, not for burning.
Still going to work every day.
Pretty much the same. Go to work. Work. Leave work. See if they have any food at the store. Go home. Netflix.
It’s gonna be two weeks at least. No clue when it starts.
Same here.. No impact other than not driving to the grocery stores once a week.
I’ve been playing with two old CB radios found in my garage. Seems nobody is using the citizen band any more. Mine work. Tested out 17 miles. Would like to have some company. Breaker breaker one seven.
70 today? Happy birthday!
You dont get sunday off? That should be illegal. If you are working now you must be doing something good. God bless
“Your son is a hero. God bless him.”
I choked up when I came here and saw this. Thank you for your kind words.
“were proud of him too.....tell him that....”
I will. Thank you so much!
going to work long hours as usual now just longer because i have to hike school as well
Out by the pool. It’s 70 degrees. I’m reading a LOT of stuff to catch up. (Otherwise would have been at a Homeschool Convention in Greenville today).
BTW, water, tissues, meat, bread all back in the stores today. Still a shortage of paper towels and toilet paper, but we’re well stocked.
Also, this has in our family revived the notion of the “handkerchief,” which you can wash, in place of tissues.
