Essentially you invoke such a trauma to the population that they willingly give up all of their rights and all of their civil liberties to the All Good and Knowing Government - FOR THE GREATER GOOD.

Of course it is. The virus was just a handy thing to use to destroy our liberty. Pres. Trump is handling it masterfully so far. I don’t like the government sending out money to people. But, combatting the manufactured mass hysteria is actually more important than combatting the virus.

I think you correctly summed-up the Cloward-Piven strategy. Another phrase I remember from my long-ago days on the fringes of the New Left was "increase the contradictions." Capitalist society was deemed riddled by fatal "contradictions" which it was the duty of the left to exacerbate, not to fix.

I don't recall specifically what all of these alleged contradictions were, but I believe one of them was racial conflict. Thus it is no accident that the left increasingly harps on racial identity and racial inequality on virtually every topic you can think of.

And it is no accident if it appears to you that the left is generally trying to make things worse, not better. Look at the deteriorating condition of major leftist cities like Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. In cities like that, more and more crimes are not enforced or prosecuted, homeless and litter fill too many streets, housing costs soar, and leftist thugs shut down free speech.
