What plane had the cannon? Another F16?I think Vulcans are exclusively A-10 Warthog ordnance.

The MK 61 Vulcan is a 20mm. The Warthog is a GAU 8 30mm cannon.

No the M61 is the primary air-to-air gun on all NATO planes, since probably the F-100. Probably another F16.

General Electric's 30-millimeter GAU-8 Avenger cannon has been the primary weapon of the U.S. Air Force's A-10 ground-attack plane for more than 40 years. The gun in the article was most recently used on the F-14. It was develop after ww2 and used a lot on during the Korean War.

That’s what I thought too. But maybe not ...
In any case, this is a disastrous failure of trigger discipline.

Nope. M61 A1 20mm Vulcan is standard armament on the F-16.

I think Vulcans are exclusively A-10 Warthog ordnance.Negative. The M61 Vulcan is the 20mm Gatling-style cannon. The M134 Minigun is the 7.62mm version.
The A-10 uses the GAU-8/A Avenger 30mm Gatline-style cannon.

Actually the A10 is one of the few that doesn’t have a Vulcan,

The cannons in the A-10 Warthogs are 30 mm, not 20mm.
