Day # 20 here:

The leading FR Flubro has just started his Daily Flubro thread - and says only dittoheads are allowed!
Sounds like fun!!
I will check on my state’s (CT) delegation—thanks for the link.
not ‘person to person’
it was suspected about Jan 24 - two months ago, but not fessed up by China until approx. 6 weeks ago:
Jan 22 - USA institutes travel restrictions barring Chinese nationals. US Citizens who travel from Hubai province must quarantine for 14 days. Russia, Australia, Japan, and Italy have announced similar restrictions.
Jan 22 - Tedros speaks against travel bans: Travel restrictions can cause more harm than good by hindering info-sharing, medical supply chains and harming economies,” These types of measures have been shown to be ineffective at halting the spread of the viruses, said Adam Kamradt-Scott, a professor in global health at the University of Sydney
Jan 24 - Lancet Paper - A familial cluster of pneumonia associated with the 2019 novel coronavirus indicating person-to-person transmission: a study of a family cluster

an 24 - Nancy Messonnier, CDC director of IRD, said Friday that although the outbreak is a ‘very serious public health threat, the immediate risk to the US public is low at this time.” Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the CDCs National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, said the spread was among two people who were in close contact for an extended period of time. In other words, the new patient may have only been able to contract the virus because he had sustained, prolonged exposure to his wife.
Jan 25 - The World Health Organization has determined that the outbreak of the SARS-like coronavirus spreading rapidly across China is not yet a global health emergency
Jan 25 - Tedros, “Make no mistake, this is an emergency in China. But it has not yet become a global health emergency”
Jan 27 - China now confirms transmission during the incubation period, although published data are unavailable at present. Children may also be shedding virus while asymptomatic

Feb 8 - China Daily reported a Shanghai official said the novel coronaviruss confirmed transmission routes included direct transmission, contact transmission and aerosol transmission.
CT House delegation—no transactions shown so far in 2020.
It seems like forever....
It should be more fun in a couple of weeks....
Thanks, good info there.
But there was something from that fool Tedros saying explicitly that info from China showed that the virus was not transmitted ‘person to person’.
Would love to have that.
Thanks for the link
And China first announced while our own CDC was sh!tting all over the story.
It was the USCDC that was late to the party.
Oh, so we get to exclude ppl from threads? Cool!
Sorry if this was posted before in here, if it was I missed it.
Under 45 is 20% of hospitalization rates.
Here is impimps thread:

Dr. Roger Seheult
Coronavirus Pandemic Update 40: Ibuprofen and COVID-19 (are NSAIDs safe?), trials of HIV medications
Controversy surrounding the use of NSAID medications like ibuprofen and naproxen with COVID-19 infection have heightened now that the French government has issued warnings against them. Dr. Seheult also discusses preliminary fatality data in the United States released by the CDC, and the results of a novel coronavirus treatment trial with HIV medications Lopinavir and Ritonavir in hospitalized COVID-19 patients.

Coronavirus Pandemic Update 39: Rapid COVID-19 Spread with Mild or No Symptoms, More on Treatment
A new model from the peer-reviewed Journal Science predicts that people who had not been diagnosed with COVD-19 were the source of 79% of the reported cases in China and that 86% of COVID-19 infections. Dr. Seheult also discusses new and limited data on hydroxychloroquine as a possible coronavirus treatment and ionophore for zinc.

SK is over 1% now. Obviously, if all remaining cases survive, they will end at 1%. If the remaining active cases have a 1% mortality, SK will end with a 1.8% CFR. Over the past week, New deaths/New recoveries has been 2%. If that continues, they will end with a 2.5% CFR. 0.7% was always too optimistic without a significant treatment breakthrough. SK is one of the countries using chloroquine, so if they begin wider use, maybe we will soon see a decrease in mortality.
