NBC News Correspondent Says Coronavirus 'Is a Bat Virus, Not a China Virus'
Daily Caller ^ | March 18, 2020 | Peter Hasson

NBC News chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel said Wednesday that the COVID-19 coronavirus “is a bat virus, not a China virus.”...He also argued that “China certainly feels that” referring to the virus as the “Chinese virus” amounts to “scapegoating.”“This is a virus that came from the territory of China but came from bats,” he continued. “This is a bat virus, not a China virus.”

Yeah right. The virus came from bat soup! originated with a sick Saudi in 2012, brought a viral sample to a Winnapeg microbiological lab, stolen by Chinese nationalists and brought to microbiological lab in Wuhan China to be weaponized, and it got loose. Too bad these "journalists" dont investigate anymore. Could be replaced with parrots and no one would notice

It was not from Bat Soup. The experts say to ingest through mouth the virus lands in your gut and stomach acids kill it.

It only effectively enters through contact with mucous membranes (eyes, and inside nose).

How NBC Outmaneuvered the Richard Engel Outrage Machine
By Bryan Burrough April 24, 2015
The long-running soap opera at NBC News spun off a strange new episode last week, this one involving the 2012 kidnapping in Syria of its chief foreign correspondent, Richard Engel. Engel’s capture, it turns out, wasn’t all it had appeared to be at the time. And neither, it seems, is the hubbub that accompanied its reconsideration last week.
Long story short, Engel, in a 1,700-word article for the NBC News Web site, wrote that he had mistakenly identified his kidnappers. They weren’t Shiite militiamen under the control of the murderous Assad government, as he believed at the time, and as he described in detail in a lengthy piece he wrote for Vanity Fair’s April 2013 issue. Rather, they were almost certainly rogue Sunni rebels who elaborately masqueraded as government-backed militiamen, presumably in an effort to further darken the Assad regime’s already coal-black reputation. Engel said he had begun re-investigating his own story after a New York Times reporter questioned him about it earlier this year.
Obliged to publish, apparently prematurely, in the next day’s newspaper, it was the Times that raised the issue that got the chattering classes chattering. Citing sources inside and outside of NBC, it said news executives knew of the “possible involvement’’ of two Sunni rebel leaders in the kidnapping, yet allowed Engel, in Vanity Fair and elsewhere, to publicly declare otherwise “and did not present the other possible version of events.’

It’s a virus of Chinese origin. A Chinese bat infected the Pangolin which went to the table of the Saudi man at a high end Chinese restaurant. The unique nature of his infection caused release of samples to various research labs for study. Meanwhile, the unique nature of transmission from bat to Pangolin remained and it was just a matter of time when live bats were allowed to be caged just above a cage of Pangolins in a market environment. One bat poop into he food dish of the Pangolin from an infected bat created the conditions for the animal to human transmission via the Pangolin.

The last severe plague that decimated 40 percent of Europe in the middle 1800s also came down the silk road from China. It was called the Black plague. Would the Chinese government media lackeys here prefer us to call it Black Plague II and risk attributing this to their Black Lives Matter allies. I guess the only way you can win with the media is to call it the White Privilege Plague.

The virus the bat carried would not infect humans. For some reason, it had to be transmitted to the Pangolin first which made it possible to infect the human.

It would be interesting to have a pricing sheet.

For example, I figure that Biden’s fee is only 5 to 10 million bucks a year. I reach that by figuring that the management fee for the 1.5 billion Chinese government venture fee might be 1 to 2%, say 20 to 25 million. Hunter Biden’s company is on the board, but it isn’t the whole board, or the decision maker. Maybe 10 to 15 million flows to his company, but he has expenses and partners. So I figure 5 to 10 million, tops, went to Hunter.

The Harvard Professor who was getting paid on-shore and off-shore money to set up a nanomaterials lab in Wuhan which had some biological implications was getting a few hundred thousand off the books, plus research money into his lab.

I think news-touts come much, much more cheaply.

That’s what it costs to annually bribe an ex-VP who has some probability of becoming President, and a lot of residual influence and connections.

Maybe I should consider contributing to my Congressman ... just in case I need him to answer my phone call. Unfortunately, I’m in MA, and I’d have to swallow deeply to do any business with him.

Let’s focus on the politically correct term for the virus. That is our first priority and what really, really matters.
