I have seen some morphing a bit over the last 48 hours.
Amazon Prime is no longer prime, nor do they have stock. Walmart has stock quicker but it must be inside purchase.
Looks to be the battle as to what you need now.
Interesting to see this play out.
My wife got a PRIME delivery yesterday and my Nextdoor neighbor got one today. Just an observation of two deliveries.
> TP
try office supply stores. get commercial size rolls.
Was it TP?
If you can wait a week or two they will all catch up. It will take a bit to ramp up production but hand cleaner and paper do not require scarce resources.
I have 144 rolls bought in December.
I’m just watching the delivery system vs big box.
LOL! I thought you were signing you post with your initials.
Dang! And I thought I was prepared with 29 rolls.
I just checked the WM’s in central NC and they are back up on stock.
It’s all in-store purchase, no pick-up available ATT.
I’ve been watching the Amazon vs Walmart race for some time.
Walmart aced it with in store shoppers and parking lot delivery. Walmart has gone through quite a few adjustments to shave costs.
If you check out several Walmarts while traveling it’s obvious they’ve tailored the approach based on sales and location.
Walmart mostly uses their own drivers for trucking. Amazon hires other to haul the dick boxes.
Amazon has a long way to go to compete with Walmart’s grocery operation.
Jeez....
I have a distribution center near me and I have never seen it so busy.
I think the major feed is in SC south of Monroe, NC
I have one co-worker with wife and daughter at home.
He was down to one roll tonite. That’s what got me curious.
We have a job scheduled together Thur. and I promised a pack of “The Good Stuff”. LOL!
Look up TP on Amazon and you will see available brands never heard about.
I got my bleach and bottled water from Lowes.
They had plenty.
Got bleach wipes from Amazon in 2 days. Stocked up on TP years ago. I think I have bleach wipes in my storage shed, but it is a hassle to dig through. I will wait until I really believe the alarmism to check.
> delivery system vs big box.
walmart has been pushing delivery for several years.
no charge for orders > $35.
they often split an order into two or three fedex shipments.
they are losing money to buy into online selling.
walmart and all others with “brick and mortar” plus online will be extremely favoring their online and drive-thru business now
so there might be less difference between amazon and walmart than appears, other than walmarts clumsy website vs amazon’s highly functional one
Why the bottled water?
Walmart aced it with in store shoppers and parking lot delivery. Walmart has gone through quite a few adjustments to shave costs.
They have apparently suspended pick up. They notified me last night that the order I placed on Sunday would not be filled this morning. I just checked and you get a message that there are no available pick up times. I suspect that lack of inventory is the main reason.
My Prime bidet came in.
