I am hearing a lot of people say the media has created this panic to hurt Trump. People who I wouldn’t have expected it from saying it out loud. People are miserable and they may be blaming MSM
This may turn out to be the monster that turns on them. Trump can finesse this issue and the people will turn on the MSM as they should!
They must have gotten their hands on internal Democrat polling.

There was an episode of the X-Files titled, "War of the Coprophages" which had as a theme, mass hysteria induced panic. A small town had a number of incidents in which there appeared to be deaths coincidental to cockroach infestations. People were stripping the supermarket shelves bare. In one scene, two people were fighting over a carton of milk duds in a crowded aisle and the carton broke open, sending milk duds scattering across the floor in all directions. The crowd, thinking it was an attack of roaches, stampeded, with several people being trampled.
I've thought of that episode and that scene frequently over the past week and will not be surprised when the corona related tramplings begin.
It would not be the President the base guns against.
