I'm sitting here on FR this morning on one side of the living room and my daughter is on the other. She's filing for unemployment online. She's a GM for a restaurant in a mall. The mall closed last night per PA Gov. Wolf's request (orders).
Next item on her agenda is getting rid of all the perishables - food banks come to mind. There goes her quarterly bonus for food costs.
So my daughter, gainfully employed since age 15, is now unemployed for the first time in her life. She is now a statistic that Rats love. Anything to hurt Trump.
Go ahead, let the Democrats use a global pandemic and blame Trump.

Or, it may be a very messy morning.
We have a neighbor who is a Mason. He’s been laid off (can collect unemployment and work side jobs per his Union) because he has two small kids at home and they don’t want him on job sites in case he’s a carrier due to the kids.
He told us that anyone caring for an elderly parent at home has been laid off, too.
Your daughter will be fine. She appears to have a good work ethic, so she’ll be re-hired when this manufactured crisis ends. :)
It’s a good Life Lesson for her...and will ensure she’ll never vote for a member of the Socialist Democrat Party!

Sorry to hear that, but this is just the beginning stage, we have a lot more pain to come. The Democrats and the media will continue their Jihad on America and continually stoke Fear and Panic to defeat Trump. I only hope that everyone here on Free Republic learned from 9/11 and Obama and took precautions to shore up their finances, get out of debt and have reserves, just for crap like this or god forbid a Biden or Bernie Presidency

There will be millions of furloughed and laid off employees unless they open commerce again immediately. No I’m not exaggerating. Leisure and hospitality is 17 million employees. Half or more could be laid off this month and next. That doesn’t even count the bloodbath in retail ex grocery and super stores.

Thanks for your kind words. She will be fine. She's now at home taking care of me. I've been a bit worried about her bringing the virus home from work since I have medical conditions. But realistically, we could have taken measures to avert the spread of the virus at home.
She is well prepared. And she will never vote for a Rat. She's a Rush baby. Literally, I had Rush on the radio as we drove home from the hospital after she was born.
I hope this is over soon and your daughter is back to work. This will pass. The fundamentals of our economy are strong and it will bounce back.

This is a good opportunity to permanently close those worthless government agencies. Get rid of the true welfare recipients, the worthless government worker.
Just other Dems and independents that never saw fit to developing principles of any kind. Remember 50 percent of Americans have below average IQs.
It wont hurt Trump for the same reason that impeachment didnt hurt Trump: There is no fault on the part of Trump.
In the end, people will end up with a communist, a drooler that can’t speak and will look like a crook with the Ukraine deal coming out further, and a President that has a good record. I might worry more if he had someone even halfway competent running against him.
Democrats and their billionairs will gladly burn the entire world down to get rid of Trump. They don’t care who it hurts
