And spreading the Wu Flu merrily as they go.
By "it", I mean the Wu Flu, not the ban, which is statewide.
And now the unforeseen consequences!!! Those living next to NJ will travel there to buy booze. Instead of the effect they wanted, they will now make that alleged problem 10X worse.
This will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
Democrat plan at work.
Democrat plan is working. Don’t get a toothache in illannoy...dentists just got shut down today.
Did it have to be kept refrigerated all the way? That’s the story I always heard.
“Back when Tequila with the worm was popular, I had a friend who lived on the border of Texas and Mexico who would buy Tequila for $1.50 and sell it for $25.”
When I was based at NAS Alameda we had a Marine NG pilot that would fly his bronco down to TJ and pick up Tequila and porn movies and fly them back. He paid us to unload them. I was happy.
Yep.
Good story!!
I remember those days. I was in Florida and anyone who went west brought back Coors for his friends. Looking back I wonder why it was considered such a treat.
Florida had bottle laws then for which Miller and Busch paid the state legislature handsomely each year. Classic crony capitalism. Secure your market via bribes to the law makers.
Eventually by the late 90s the PR flack for them got so bad they threw in the towel and decent beer was finally allowed into the state.

The democrat states are trying to create a panic.
I never figured dem anything for supporting “dry.”
I remember taking a case of Coors on a flight from Phoenix to Ohio back in the early 70s. You could only buy Coors on Tuesday afternoon when the truck from Colorado showed up, it sold out by that evening.
so we need to make the employees safe by denying them a paycheck?....HA, ha. They be gubmitt workers. They will get paid.
having to choose between hoarding booze and buttwipe!....Go for the booze. If you shit yourself you won’t care. Been there.
That is my updated POV - this is a communist takeover using “the virus” as the excuse. Intentional destruction of stock markets, closure of all sorts of businesses, shelter in place lockdowns, no alcohol... This is 1984, martial law, Kissinger’s alien invasion. Because of “the virus” the homeless must be moved to motels, at taxpayer expense. Because of “the virus” money is thrown at providers of MORE food for the school lunch crowd. Because of “the virus” people cannot congregate AT ALL, not at church, lodge, gym, library. The government is letting us chat online and text, but we are only a power utility shutdown away, because of “the virus” (workers too sick to provide us power), and most of us have no communication. I still don’t know why the CDC thought we should have bottled water... Daily, incremental implementation of martial law.
I could swear I saw booze being purchased in grocery stores in PA ...Sure in some grocery stores you can purchase beer and wine.
“Did it have to be kept refrigerated all the way? Thats the story I always heard.”
Bwahahaha! It was July, in the South with a non-air conditioned truck.
The Corona Virus Disaster Prohibition will undoubtedly be followed by a Corona Virus Liquor Tax, not unlike the 18% Johnstown Flood Tax on liquor that was supposed to pay for rebuilding after to the 1936 flood. BTW, in PA we still are paying that tax!
