It has switched now. At first it was the advisors out ahead of the president, striking a more serious tone on the issue than Trump. But now it is Trump who seems to be more inclined to level with the people as to just how serious it is and the measures he is considering. Such honesty is anathema to most bureaucrats—and it shows.

Not too many weeks ago there was another of the frequent articles about which nations might be next to choose to leave the EU. Italy was one of those discussed, but then the article discussed how Italy was cooperating with China in their Silk Road initiatives and that just left my head spinning.
Italy questions the benefits of future EU membership (understandable), but they were also cozying up to Red China?
And now we know much more about how they've become entangled with China. Who made those decisions? Pretty hard to believe,

we didn’t see large death counts in Nov/Dec anywhere in the world from pneumonia. Including Hong Kong (first HK case was Jan 23) where human traffic between it and the mainland was very fluid prior to Feb. Wuhan didn’t take off until late Jan. with its first reported death and 41 cases reported on Jan 11. Deaths then ramped up very quickly so that by Feb 28, China was in the red 3K deaths. The flu/pneumonia season in the US also started off ‘mild’, from 1.8 Dec to 1.9 Jan to a huge jump to 48.1/100K in Feb. Italy also had no big death numbers until after Feb, and then it hit like wildfire. If the disease was around Italy prior to March, given a 2-11 day incubation, median 5.1 days,, it was not as virulent. And, we also look at the now, three, strains of Covid, that were not around in Jan., as the virus adapts. Facts do not support a weakening virus.

If it gets bad enough then religious types would say that it is setting the stage for the anti-Christ...a charismatic leader arising from (possibly) Germany who will "save the world"...possibly enacting a global economy saving plan that will be embraced by nearly the whole world.

Latest numbers say 69 confirmed cases in Texas
[1:09 p.m.] The count of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Texas reached 69 cases as of noon Monday. Four counties are now reporting community spread: Brazoria, Dallas, Matagorda and Montgomery. In total, 17 counties — and the Lackland Air Force Base — are reporting at least one coronavirus case. Since Sunday, the state has reported one additional case. — Stacy Fernánd
