Herd immunity after it went around the world.
It just mutated and burned away.
This will as well. This is not an extinction level event. Far, far from it.
But, it was generated by having young men in close quarters, ships, and trenches. Then Wilson would allow the docs to communicate the severity.
Self quarantine is really the only way to gradually introduce this to the herd. It wont keep people from eventually being sick, but it will save lives.
Its worked since....well since the first town got closed down because some witch cast a spell.
They shipped 400,000 kits via FedEx air and ground out of Indianapolis this weekend and are making 400,000 per week.
Roche Diagnostics.
That’s so sweet!!!!!
I been doing a good bit of both these days.
Truly sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope she recovers quickly and it isn’t COVID.
“I have a daughter who is in the home health care field who has been ill for the last few days. “
I’m sorry to hear that. I hope she feels better soon. I understand her not wanting to go to work until she knows for sure. They’ve been saying you need two negative tests 24 hours apart. Hopefully those resources will become available to her soon.
There was an amazing story about US troops in WW I that got stuck in Russia while the Russian revolution happened.
They hunkered down in a remote area for two years—couldn’t get out of there even when the war was over.
Months after the war was over the local villagers finally got the flu—and so did the soldiers.
More died from the flu than died in combat against local Commies.
“It wont keep people from eventually being sick, but it will save lives.”
I’m really going to try to be one of the 20 to 40% who doesn’t get it. I don’t mind the avoiding people part. My hands did start to burn a bit last week, though, from all the washing and 70% IPA.
Lookner - All DC restaurants, bars and massage parlors closing.
In related news, demonrats are freaking out.
Went to a Wal*Mart in Aiken County, SC. Seems every shopper had toilet paper, paper towels and bottled water in their shopping cart. Store was a little busier for a Monday afternoon.
Toilet paper was completely gone except for a four roll pack of single ply tissue.
WMT employee was on that aisle restocking paper towels. Shoppers were taking multiple rolls from the box she was stocking from. I guess she got frustrated because she walked away and the box was promptly emptied.
I felt fortunate as the store had everything on my list.
Ha! Vienna sausages, sardines, hot pickled bologna, pickled herring, tuna and canned salmon...i’ve got meat! ;)
Robert Kraft is deeply saddened.

Can you imagine trying to just fall asleep when you are that stressed out? It’s amazing that this is the first time he has looked tired in his presidency, especially with all the multi-front wars he’s had going with so many enemies.
“That’s speculation.”
It’s at least speculation.
This virus is just as likely to have crawled out of the fetid sewers of Wuhan as to have been created in a lab. Probably more so as I’m certain those are the filthiest places on the planet with organic material from nearly every known species of animal.
And it is certainly not a bioweapon. It’s too weak and too indiscriminate for weaponization.
I say it’s a product of the natural world, but from unnaturally filthy conditions.
80 new #coronavirus #covid19 cases today in New Jersey.

I call 10,000.
The world economy has shrunk at least 50% virtually overnight.
A friend flies a round trip every week to a new location for work. He was sick as a dog guzzling Nyquil two weeks ago. Told him to go to the doctor. He waited until he finished the week and got back home until going to the doctor. By that time he was feeling better. The doctor said he probably had it and would be immune to it so he was cleared to go back to work Monday morning to fly out again.
His work finally decided he shouldn’t fly after last week so put him on driving distances.
sigh....
“Something extraordinary is happening. This is a once in a century event in the history of mankind.
Its THAT type of event.
This is why so many people are struggling with accepting what is happening.”
Agree...that’s a lot of why the trolls here are saying what they’re saying. They simply want to wish it away (by blaming it on some huge international ‘conspiracy’ to get Trump), and we refuse to join them - as it is nothing more than wishful thinking.
