I call 10,000.
The world economy has shrunk at least 50% virtually overnight.
Some will stay in no matter what. They money we put in we knew we could lose, some we aren’t pulling out, even though I know it’s going to be a long bumpy ride that might take years to recover from. But for my elderly FIL, we moved his money to a safer spot 3 weeks ago. He doesn’t need the risk and didn’t really need to make any more than he has.
“I call 10,000.”
We may indeed. All that’s been lost so far is prelude.
In fact all the market turmoil and the international spread, this is just the end of Act I.

Probably a bit on the high side, since I really doubt that the market has come to terms with just how slowly the recovery will be. But yes, you’re probably in the ballpark.
