TSA said an eighth passenger screening officer who worked this morning has been confirmed to have the coronavirus.
The officer is based at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and was on a 4a to noon shift.

Yes, we are ok. Manila always had been bad. They closed Aquino airport to domestic flights. People still wanted to get to Davao, so they were going to Clark and flying down, but the government got wise to that, and closed Clark too. We went to one of the 6 malls on Sunday, for groceries. They had everything except hand sanitizer. I haven’t really noticed a big change in life.
As far as I know, martial law was never lifted, and that didn’t change our lifestyle much either. 😀
But it’s so cozy here...
I don't think it is a SHTF situation (yet). I think the economy is key. We have a figure out a way to adapt.
Critical commerce is still going. My work goes by a major Interstate - about 40,000 vehicles a day. Saw lots of trucks go by.
My point is - try to be as optimistic and forward-looking, while taking care to prepare for contingencies.
The quarantine and closure of restaurants means we lose the 2 hours away from work to eat out and shop. That time will be spent cooking dinner, washing dishes and dodging the 8 dogs while we eat. We'll manage.

I think the exposure there would be worse and I have heard that many of these are closing.
Lots of insurance companies are pushing the telemedicine option. Maybe your insurance company can refer you to a doctor that can meet with in video conference call to get your refill. Just a thought.

Perhaps that will prod them a bit in deciding whether to cancel the Tokyo Olympics.
For example, an Japan Olympic deputy tested COVID-19 +. At some point, the economy and market will price in more prominent and famous people getting COVID-19 - I think the market still is being affected by that. At some point - it will not be affected by that.
In the end, unless you are a world leader of a major nation like US, China, Japan, SK, GB, etc. people should not get scared or more concerned, or fearful if more prominent people get COVID-19. In the end, they are just people.

Yes. Most normal scrips like BP meds are being extended without requiring an office visit.
The perfect way to pass it along. Pat down lines of hundreds of folks touching pretty well every area of their body/clothing/belongings and shed millions of the pesky things everywhere. What could go wrong there ? No social distancing from these screeners, they get up close and personal, virus or not.
Eh. Abe recommended back in late February? that all schools close until April 7 or so. Many if not all did.
Many companies were allowing work from home way back in late February. NTT was right off the bat.
Their testing is ramping up - should have been ramped up before.
No solution is perfect and there could always be improvements.
I think it was just yesterday they said the Olympics are still going on as planned. I can't say I'm surprised by this.
