“19-64 : 37”
Interesting.
“The New Jersey numbers are stunning.
They have only tested 338 people.
178 were positive.”
That’s the part of the country that scares me the most right now. We may have acted too late to flatten the curve there. May God help us all.
Charles Hugh Smith is one of the great “systems thinkers” out there—his comments on “the situation”:

My oldest taught herself Calculus out of the Saxon Math Calculus book when she was in 11th grade.
She spend her senior year in the local public high school and took AP Physics and the teacher had to tell her to not use Calc to solve the the problems cause it was AP Physics B and not A (or vice verse. Whatever it was, it was not the calc based AP Physics)
“People are playing ball “for the greater good” right now”
Interesting way to put it. I would characterize it as trying to save lives and maintain social order.
Something slightly more dire than a couple of thousand folks with a respiratory illness and a handful of dead in a single building in a single state.
Let’s say...10x flu in infection rate and body count. Now that’s looking pretty damn bad. So far we’re not even at a 0.1x flu.

“Think about it. Think hard.”
When he starts, that’s when the emotional defense mechanisms kick in. It’s strange to see, isn’t it? It really is a kind of madness, a disconnect from reality.
GA has 46% under the age of 60, 44% over 60 (11% unknown)

“Somebody ought to write a song about that. A country song.”
Funny, watching all this stuff, I play music on YouTube in
the background. Usually Classical during “business”
hours and lately reggae, pop and happy music..
but it is definitely about time to bust out Merle and
some real country music
Not to put too fine a point on it...but I don't think the virus cares about getting paid. LOL.

But the math has been done for him, Lil. Many times.
NC Governor has shut down all bars and restaurants effective 5:00 PM today.
We have computers to do the number crunching for us these days, so if folks don’t crunch the numbers it is only because they do not want to do so.
