An emergency room doctor at EvergreenHealth in Kirkland is in critical condition with COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.

The hospital at the center of the coronavirus outbreak in King County confirmed that the doctor was ill Sunday afternoon.

“EvergreenHealth is providing care for one of our physicians who has a confirmed case of COVID-19. He is in critical condition but stable. Out of respect for our patient’s privacy and that of his family, there is nothing more we can share at this time,” says a brief statement issued by the hospital on Sunday.

Seems like there are some big time virus particle leakers.

My question is do they still leak virii after they are “recovered”?

It’s similar to how HIV patients exposed to a higher viral load will experience intense symptoms and an initial high viral load

"'If the number of cases gets up to 10,000, then we're looking at 1,500 people requiring hospitalization and 500 requiring admission to the ICU. If it gets to 100,000, you can do the math — 10,000 would require hospitalization and 5,000 would be admitted to the ICU,' Yore said."

Yeah. Looks pretty ugly.

And every person on this board is capable of being a carrier/spreader, if not a super spreader. This why downplayers can be so dangerous.

”Who thinks the wuhuflu is on the wane in the US?

Can we see a show of hands?“

There are a lot of people here who remind me of Harry Truman (not the president, the old curmudgeon who lived on Spirit Lake at the foot of Mount St. Helens, and who scoffed at the idea that the volcano was going to erupt. Never to be seen again after he was incinerated and buried in about 900 feet of debris). There are plenty of real deep state/democrat/liberal media plots out there, but this isn’t one of them. Sure, the media and dems are trying to exploit this to attack Trump, as they do with everything, but the danger here is real. Even if younger people, like this doctor, don’t have serious impacts from the virus, everyone is potentially vulnerable if we allow it to get out of control and overwhelm our medical resources. If that happens, any person who experiences a severe injury, heart attack, etc. will be at great risk as there may not be the resources available to treat them.

So it’s not just grandma and grandpa who are at risk here, it’s every one of us. THAT’s why we have to take extreme measures now to blunt this before it gets out of control. What is happening in places like Italy is not fiction.

I use a version in my protocol.

Shot of whiskey and New Zealand Manuka honey.

I dont know what part of the protocol works with my system but something does. Two bouts of coughing on me... this has worked when I got sick

Vitamin A, Zinc, Zicam, Whiskey/Manuka, Liposomal C, Tumeric, Thieves Oil, and hydrogen peroxide in my ears.

Dont care if people say XYZ doesnt work. I am doing it anyway because this works for me.

Second bout of weirdo Asian girl looking like deliberately trying to make people sick took a little longer to recover and different symptoms than first bout

I'd like to see a daily comparison of our[US] trajectory compared to Italy at the same point [minorly age adjusted for the differences of the 2 populations]

A common misconception about poison ivy (and similarly bee venom) is that people will build up resistance with exposure. Quite the opposite is true; recurring exposure increases sensitivity and severity of reaction.

I’m worried about medical personnel and people who run our water treatment plants, and those who run nuclear power plants and our first responders,

To save money we don’t have backup people for our critical infrastructure jobs. Volunteer backup programs might be a good idea...

But cytokine storm is healthy people getting overwhelmed by their strong system...as an example

not saying weak people cant have it...

just that it is strong people who get taken out..like teenagers and young people

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hardly any young people are succumbing to wuflu.
Yes, that is why I am wondering about the cytokine storm part of this..but seeing plenty of articles about Wuhan and cytokine storm
So not really sure how all of it gels together.
I haven’t seen anything about cytokine storm in wuflu; older people have a weaker immune system so they may not be as prone to it. I read a lot about it years ago when hanging out on flu forums. I don’t see descriptions in wuflu of the same cyanosis, etc.
https://www.newscientist.com/article/2237259-why-dont-children-seem-to-get-very-ill-from-the-coronavirus/
It is hard for me to reconcile all of this since our family witnessed cytokine storm taking out healthy teenager via flu/sepsis/pneumonia
So this is why I say I can’t quite get it all to mesh
